Morning all, another wet dark morning here, but I'm up and dressed so a good start.
Bed made, clothes picked up
WM on
TD water emptied but TD put back on as clothes were a bit damp
Pellet stove refilled and now on
Recycling brought down from bathroom and put out
Normal bin out
Coffee and porridge next, I need to write an email as starting to worry about it at night, dirty floors haven't gone away either!
Hugs, spoons & SMILES to you all9 -
Morning all. I wrote a long post on my k!nd1e last night, then lost it all when my hand brushed against the "Back" arrow on the bottom of the screen, grrrr!
Did various little bits of flying yesterday, then took Rosie to kennels for 2 nights - she hasn't been for over a year, was not keen to go and jumped back in the car 3 times! but in the end she went off happily with her friend Sally. It's strange not having her here. We're still in Tier 1, so DH and I are able to go away today for 24 hours of delicious food and old-fashioned comfort. A change of scene will do us both good. We're expecting heavy rain all day, so have opted to have posher-than-usual lunch at home rather than driving through the worst of the predicted downpour, so I am going to spend most of the morning sewing - i.e. doing something that I enjoy but keep putting off. First I need to clear my desk...
Hope you all stay well, GI x
How are you doing, Natty? x
Sorry to hear about the DW, pigpen. I hope your DH enjoys washing up by hand! Well done for getting Dot onto the waiting list - fingers crossed it's not a long wait.
Congratulations on your appraisal, Vallix
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to all in need xx8 -
Good morning
Mr S delivery has been - 10 minutes early & I was still asleep! Its a good job DH is here 😂
DH & DS are both being asked by work if they are getting a test (don't have symptoms). They are of an opinion that if its negative they can go back to work 🤦♀️ I think this is part of the problem! Employers are putting pressure on to return to work before the 14 days and the cycle continues!
I need to get up & do something! It is so dark & gloomy 😕 I think I will also try and find time to do something creative as well 🙂
Iona enjoy your break!
Have a good day everyone 😁8 -
Dreaded email done (it wasn't difficult and only took 10 minutes max)
Half a bin bag of rubbish out of drawers in the living room (every little bit helps)
Finances and banking checked
I spilt cereal on the floor getting my breakfast but as a result I have vacuumed all of downstairs. Vacuum now on charge before I can do upstairs.
Leftovers for dinner so hopefully a no spend day today.

Morning xx
Surprise! Surprise! It's me. On a week day. At 9.30 ish am.
I haven't quit the paid stuff - though been sorely tempted - I was already not working on Friday and Monday so, after another meltdown yesterday (when I actually went into the managers' office and said 'I can't do this anymore'**} I booked today and tomorrow as Annual Leave. I stuck it out until 4.30 yesterday and now I'm home until Tuesday. I discussed it with my manager and she agreed that two days leave added to my 4 day weekend will (hopefully) prevent a longer sick leave in the near future. Although we are both aware that I might not go back next Tuesday I am hoping that this time out will be enough for me to gird my loins ready to rejoin the frenzy fray.
So I called at Mr C00p on my way home and bought stuff for teas and pack ups for the rest of the week, then we had pizza and chocolate for tea, then watched GBBO. I woke up still feeling antsy, but had a lay in and a pray in and got up at 8.30. I've made my bed and had a brew. DS is at work. GF has just come out of the shower.
I was going to set WM swishing with the towels that were left from the weekend but weather forecast for today is grim, so I'll leave the towels for tomorrow and grab a load of smalls out of the laundry hamper as they can be artfully draped on the radiators and airer, once washed (just in case anyone thinks that I'm that far gone I'm thinking of draping dirty undies everywhere.
First brew two, and toast methinks.
Hugs to all.

Round it sounds horrible at work. Hopefully this break will allow you to unwind a little. I think the not knowing what next and the lack of routine is so hard for a lot of people and brings out the worst in them. Big hugs. Off to work now, small group of teenage boys who are actually very nice and seem to actually enjoy learning so my faith in teaching is restored a bit. I'll join you for a brew tomorrow morning.

Thank you Mademoiselle. I look forward to joining you for a brew
I abandoned the idea of washing anything, or indeed of doing anything, other than get dressed and read my book. I had to go back to the beginning as the book wasn't making sense. I must have been reading whilst my brain was racing, and not taking in large chunks. I've been trying to keep all my plates spinning and been successful - until the 'what about me?' plate finally crashed and smashed. Why is it always that plate that gets neglected? So today is a me day.
I will take baby steps back into the real world tomorrow. Has anyone seen Jazee lately? Hugs to Dizzy Imp xx
In fact - come on ladies - group hug. We are doing our best. What else can we do?

Hearing test said I have mild hearing loss so a referral sent to ENT for me.. goodness knows how long that will take.. probably FOREVER! OH's hearing is fine... but he still does mumble... I got permission to give him a slap if he gets shirty with me for asking him to repeat himself lol.Letter arrived asking me to make a telephone appointment for physio.. I was referred in January... 2017.... My hip is probably beyond any help at all now, the other has started playing up, my knee and back are very painful too and various random bits of body hurt massively for no good reason, in so set order, and usually when I most need to use that bit.
Referral for sleep clinic done just waiting for a call there.
Waiting still for 2 quotes and a grant decision before phoning the mortgage company.
Got more 11-12 tights for Pixie (aged 7) .. where they get sizes from for children is beyond me! and 2 pairs of leggings for Dot for school.. she has eaten 2 of the 4 pairs I got a couple of weeks ago. I found a double points coupon and an extra points coupon and a 10% off the shopping so saved a big chunk there.
I have an ebeast parcel to post, a next return to arrange and I need to a chart of who needs what and when.. I completely forgot Twinkle has PE today .. I think my life is about to be come indispensible again very soon with appointments and music lessons and pe days and everything else.
I slept really badly last night.. Tonight I AM going to bed at midnight.. I am going to set myself a bed time alarm!
Love and hugs to all.. hope all the poorlies are ok and on the mend or just pain free where possible. I have 15 minutes before we have to go to school so going to find something productive to do.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
