Boy has it been cold today, Unfortunately it meant that DS1 and his partner didn’t come visit after all, it just didn’t make sense considering that you just couldn’t have sat out in the cold. Bit disappointing for all but we had second best with a nice zoom call.I was at work until 3, gosh we were busy. I have a feeling it’s going to be a really busy summer. I’m quite looking forward to the shops reopening. There’s signs of life with staff in cleaning and reorganising and relief that the shops are reopening. Some haven’t survived unfortunately.
I’m not on until Friday now so I really need to revamp the diet. We really fell off the wagon with Easter eggs and hot cross buns.
I’ve decided not to do a shop this week and pay the money off my credit card. I’m aiming to get it down to at least £500 in April.
We shall see.

Yes it was cold today - no fun sitting outside and shivering.Good luck with your April pay off target - not doing food shopping this week will really help kickstart the reduction.1

If anything it was even colder today, the breeze wasn’t helping though.
My revamp of the diet has gone well today. I decided to let my body have a clear out so I stuck to black tea and water all day and just had a meal in the evening. Tomorrow I’ll have a healthy breakfast and then something with salad in the evening. I’ve got a fasting timer app on my phone to remind me when I can eat to try and stop the snacking in between meals and allow me to get control. I’ve got into such bad habits.
We’re going back to full opening times at work from Monday so a bit more structure will be good.
I can’t believe my great great niece is one on Friday. I transferred her some money for her birthday. (I’m not really that old, my nephew married a girl with kids from a previous relationship) We’ve still not met her for a cuddle yet. Thank goodness for the Internet, we’ve seen pictures of her lovely little smiley face and a video of her starting to stand up and toddle with help. She’s such a happy little thing which has been such a joy during the lockdown. When it gets warmer we’ll be able to visit.

Hi guys
Another good day for the diet. No snacks and just lunch and tea whereas I’d got into the habit of just grazing all the time.Brother in law phoned earlier to tell us he’s caught COVID, he works abroad and luckily he’s had both vaccines and the health care is excellent so we’re not too worried. Still I’ll be happier when he’s better.
The little one I talked about yesterday has taken her first steps without help today. A little ray of sunshine in our day.
Keep well and warm.

Hi guys
Another chilly day here today. I had to venture out because I needed a birthday card. I tried my best to get a 1st birthday girl card but after 3 shops managed to just get a peppa pig one so that had to do.
Good news, the first lambs arrived today. A set of very wobbly and very cute twins. The first of many.
I’ve done really well this week food wise. I needed milk and yoghurt today so so far I’ve spent less than a fiver.I hope you’re all keeping well and warm. It’s typical that as soon as we’re allowed out in gardens to visit the weather has gone cold 🥶
Never mind, all we need are nice warm coats, gloves, boots, hats, scarves .........

Peppy Pig is very acceptable for little ones! Well done on the food spends. I've just spent a small fortune in Lidl's but you get a lot for your money. Cupboards are now full of tins, jars, pasta, rice etc so lots of options for the basis of meals.Hopefully the weather will warm up soon.1

Hi guys
Today I woke early and outside all the cars were frozen, mind you we’re better off than DS1 cos they’ve got snow. Luckily apart from a couple their lambs are staying snug and warm in mum, refusing to be born.
So I’ve not been out of the door, instead I’m making fridge bottom soup and I’ve prepped the veg for today’s meal and some for tomorrow. I’m back on work until 5 tomorrow so I’ll sort the meal out before I go to stop being tempted to the takeaway.
It will be interesting to see how many people come shopping tomorrow. It’s been nice to see the staff who have been on furlough getting the shops ready. The barber says she’s already booked up for over 3 weeks. I’ll try to pop in to my hairdresser on the way to work and try to get an appointment. I have long heavy hair and it’s a pain trying to dry it at the moment so the sooner the better.
Im going to have a lazy afternoon now while OH polishes his motorbike. Peace.

It’s lovely to see everyone getting ready to open up again. Let’s hope this is the last lockdown 🙏 I have long hair too, it’s my fringe that’s the worst but I really need some weight taking out of my hair as well. Got an appointment a week on Thursday thank goodness 🥳I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

It was rather nice today with all the shops open AND the really good bit is that I’ve got a hair appointment tomorrow 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳The extra couple of hours being open meant that we had a couple of lulls where we could actually clean up without rushing around like idiots so I actually enjoyed working today.
I’m toying with the idea of actually going shopping later in the week, because I can. I need to stock up on birthday cards and really struggled once my stock had run out. As much as I love my friends and family I draw the line at spending £3 on a birthday card when you can get a similar one for a third of the price if you plan ahead. It’s my frugal training 😀😀

Hi guys
My hair feels fabulous, so light and airy. The pile of hair on the floor would have made someone a good wig. I really enjoyed having my hair cut.
I’m hoping for nicer weather at the weekend cos we’re going to visit DS1 and his partner. They are staying on their families small holding in a caravan during lambing so we’re meeting them up there. The views are fabulous and it will make a lovely change. Also we’ve not seen them in person since September so it will be really nice even though we can’t hug them.
I hope you’re all enjoying the extra freedom or at least not feeling too overwhelmed by all the extra people.
Keep well guys
