I’m planning 😁 Hoping to get to Greece in August then Lanzarote in October. Will settle for just the October holiday or even next year if need be. However not booking anything until our government scrap the 14 nights quarantine on return. I really don’t fancy 14 nights in a Travelodge 😩 I had my first vaccine 2 weeks ago, had the Oxford one. I was poorly that night and the following day but fine after that.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

@Sun_Addict - It's quarantine at home for 10 days not in a hotel for both Greece and Canary Islands at the moment - neither are on the Red list. I'm sure things will change as the year goes on though.
We've got a holiday planned in our motorhome and have booked Eurotunnel for September. If we still have to quarantine when we get back so be it. It all depends on whether the countries we want to go to allow us in of course which of course at the moment they don't want and we're not allowed to travel anyway.
I don't think I'd want to be flying anywhere at the moment. Maybe next year but who knows - we all have to see how things pan out.

I'm not planning on getting on a plane anytime soon. I was thinking of going to Jersey via sea - that will then count as an overseas trip 😂. I noticed today that there were lots of adverts for holidays on the TV but I think there is still too much uncertainty as tempting as the holidays look.1

Hi guys
Im glad it’s not only me that’s hoping for future hols.It will depend a lot on how the vaccinations go both here and abroad. I’ve noticed countries already starting to make welcoming noises as long as we’ve been vaccinated. I’m not sure how that will work for younger people with children though.Where we live is going to be inundated by tourists, well actually we all ready are, but much more so. Where I work will probably be very busy this summer with more people staying in the uk, I’m just hoping they still try to social distance a little bit.

Getting lots of people here too on our local beach. When we go for a walk along it we feel like we're constantly zig-zagging to avoid people! Dread to think what it will be like in the summer (but hopefully we'll be elsewhere in the UK!).2

I’ve had my COVID jab this evening. It was really well organised and the people were lovely, cheerful and helpful. I was too busy chatting to the nurse to notice the other one sticking a needle in my arm 😀😀😀

The vaccine programme is such a positive achievement for this country. Mine is at the weekend.I would love to see the sea but I live too far away currently and I really don't want to battle crowds when I am allowed again.2

Hi guys
I think I must be one of the rare people that didn’t get after effects from the vaccine. I’m working an extra day this week because the staff member who should be working tomorrow has. It will keep me out of mischief.
When the payment cleared this morning my credit card is now down to £750. The next target is £600. I’m going to see if I can manage it this month.
It’s supposed to go colder over the next couple of days, and windy. I wish spring would arrive, Mother Nature was mean letting us have a little good weather then taking it away again.
It was lovely seeing the little treasures on their way to school this morning, almost normality. It’s funny how little things give us hope.

Hi guys
Ive had quite a busy week. I’ve worked 3 days this week 😀 I don’t know how I coped before as I’ve got used to 2. I’m working Sunday now too because the girl who should be working has to isolate as her son has tested positive. So Mother’s Day has moved to tomorrow.
The diet isn’t going madly well, I lost 1 lb but OH and our friend who is in our WhatsApp support group have both maintained. At least no ones put on. Staying sane seems more important at the moment so I’m not going to worry too much.
I made some tomato and onion soup for lunch. Nice but not very exciting. I think the rest will be used to make a pasta bake. I’d read about people’s soup makers catching and burning and this is the first time mine has done this so I’m wondering whether it’s because it was very tomatoey or because I put a few leftover baked beans in. Maybe it’s because there was sugar in them. Any way it’s not a problem. Most of my soups are fridge bottom any way.
I hope you’re all keeping well and warm. The wind is keeping the temperature down here, but on the up side the waves look fabulous.Anyway better get on

I’ve never had a problem with my soup maker so can’t comment on what might have gone wrong. I just bung anything in mine. I love to see dramatic waves. You are so lucky to live by the sea.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
