Oh Joedenise that sounds nice. I never think to buy celeriac. OH isn’t keen in fish pie but I could make separate ones to freeze too. Sun_Addict I must make more of cauliflower, it usually ends up with a roast or with cheese sauce. There’s so many nice vegetables, I could do with trying different ones.
We’ve made a plan to wear masks occasionally around DS2 sons dog to get her used to them and he’s taking her to the vet weekly for fusses and biscuits to get her over her fear. DS2 is also going to muzzle train her so she is used to it if it’s needed to cut down her stress.
It was so busy at work today, non stop, I think the people near us have forgotten we’re still in lockdown. My ankles are really giving me grief, never mind , I’m not in now until Tuesday. If they don’t ease up by bedtime I’ll use some gel on them or I’ll not be able to sleep. I’m a creaky old bird 😀😀😀
Yesterdays online shop has topped up my stores and I’ve managed another payment off the debt so I’m feeling quite positive.Keep warm and well and frugal guys

Have to admit @cuddlymarm that I don't buy celeriac very often but I do enjoy it. It's nice raw in a salad as well as mashed.

Well done. It was a lovely day here today - sunny and mild. My heating is back on again tonight though.2

My heating turns itself off when the house reaches 21 degrees so it was off today for a while.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Hi guys
Work today wasn’t very exciting, not to cold but blowing a gale. The height of excitement was the tub of footballs outside Poundland blowing down the street, two staff were dispatched to collect them which filled a few minutes 😀
Discount pasties are for tea which will save a few pennies ( and since I’d been craving them all day will make me happy too. A little of what you fancy does you good)
The heating is still off and hopefully will stay that way. Every penny counts because next month is quite birthday heavy, with a lot of kids ( they get money, adults just get a card) in March . It’s our anniversary too, we won’t be spending too much though because we won’t be able to eat out and we struggle to find Xmas and birthday present ideas as it is, so tend not to bother, just putting the money towards something for another time like a holiday. Thirty eight years this time.
Listening to Boris yesterday gave me hope that we might finally be coming to the end of lockdown eventually by summer. Part of me feels relieved and the other part a bit panicky, I’m hoping this is a normal reaction. I’ll feel a bit naked without my mask now but was so hot last summer working with the ovens on at work. It’s strange how when we first had to wear them they were so alien but now normal.
Anyway enough of my ramblinga
Keep well

It will feel strange to be out of lockdown. I’m sure we’ll soon get used to it though. I feel a bit apprehensive but looking forward to getting out and about again.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I agree that coming out of lockdown is nerve wracking. I can't imagine ever wanting to cram into a crowded commuter train ever again but I can imagine sitting outside with friends and family relaxing together.

Hi guys
I must admit it will be lovely to go and see DS1 and his partners house. We saw it when they first bought it, a do it upper. Since then they’ve totally revamped it and we’ve only seen it on WhatsApp. They also have a new puppy that I haven’t cuddled yet ☹️and them of course.
Today I had to venture in to town in search of birthday cards, quite difficult cos there’s not a lot of choice. I managed but couldn’t get an anniversary card anywhere. It’s not the end of the world though, I still have time.

Hi guys
The fridge and freezer is now groaning again so I will be able to do without a shop next week which is useful because I need two birthday presents next week. That money saved will pay for those.
I’ve paid another £10 off the debt tonight which was left over from last weeks wage. I get paid again in the morning 😀so will pay another chunk off tomorrow. My next target is to get the card down to £750, I’m on £886 at the moment.
I made a lovely big pot of veg chilli today which will do lunch tomorrow and then I’ll try and squeeze some into the freezer for later in the week. I’ve also got loads of eggs and cheese and veggies too so will be eating less meat. My aim at the moment is to sqeeeeeeeeeze the pennies as far as possible. I had the bedroom window open all day with some t shirts on hangers hung up which dried beautifully instead of using the tumble drier. I know it’s only pennies but it’s also helping the environment a little bit. Tiny steps.
