    Hi guys
This week has definitely whizzed past, I can’t believe it’s Friday already.
Weigh in this morning was a bit of a disappointment with a half a pound on but I must admit I’ve eaten lots of starchy foods this week which isn’t good, but it’s been sooooo cold. Also I’ve not moved much. I am on my feet all the time at work normally and all I’ve done is sit around all week. I hope all you dieters are doing better than me.
Well I managed to knock my credit card to under £1000 yesterday and then another payment this morning, which I’m quite proud of. My next target is £750.
We’re due snow tomorrow and high winds for some of the day, so it will be another wrap up warm day. We’ve been lucky so far, it’s only been frosty and not too slippery. Good because we’ve a lot of oldies around here and the hospital has enough to cope with at the best of times.
OH has started having weekly COVID tests with his new job now and it came back negative which is always good 😀 I can’t see us getting them any time soon , but at least they are starting on the over 65s next week so my jab is getting closer. It will be really frustrating when they do the over 60s because I’m 59 and a half but it will arrive eventually😀😀
    Keep safe and warm

It’s hard to lose weight at this time of the year it’s so cold but don’t be to disappointed it will soon be spring 🤞I am just getting weighed at the end of every month I had a good loss January but I know it will slow down so I just think if I don’t get weighed weekly and be disappointed I will have bound to have lost something at the end of the month good luck keep going

    Hi guys
Just checking in. Not much to tell really as all I’ve done is slept for the last two days. I’ve been headachy and absolutely shattered so I thought I best listen to my body. I’m feeling a little better this evening which is a relief, you worry with any ailment these days.
Sunday’s we have a family zoom call and it was lovely to see the new puppy ( and DS1 and his partner of course) 😀😀😀 There’s never much to tell each other these days but nice to keep in touch.
The weather is supposed to warm up this week which will be nice, it was just too cold last week 🥶🥶🥶

    Hi guys
Amazingly DS2 invited himself to tea because it’s pancake day. They were very nice but between the damage I did at the weekend and then pancake day I can’t see a weight loss this week. Never mind I can’t see me needing to be short or swimsuit ready anytime soon. 😂😂😂😂
    Keep safe

    Hi guys
This week has really flown by even though not much has happened. I’ve only two shifts this week and furlough and then a day and a half holiday, two shifts and furlough next week. We’re just taking it week to week on how many hours we get at the moment, I’m just hoping they don’t remove furlough any time soon.
My online shop arrives this evening which will top up the fridge and freezer. I’ve still got plenty in but like to keep a good stock in too . OH is tested every week now because he works with vulnerable people so we may need to quarantine, he’s only been working six weeks and has needed to once already. Bit annoying but necessary.
DS2 took dog to the vets yesterday and she got so stressed because she’s not used to people. She used to love the vet but she growled and had to be muzzled while she had her vaccination. It’s such a shame and a common problem apparently, with pets only seeing a small amount of people. Strange times.
Tea is nice and simple today cottage pie but with butternut squash topping rather than potato and peas. Yum.
I hope you’re all keeping well and enjoying the warmer weather.

It can't be easy planning work a week at a time but good that there is an element of furlough for you.  Yes the weather is improving thankfully and the evenings are definitely lighter for longer which makes such a difference.
I bought some daffodils a couple of days ago that initially looked like spring onions in the vase but today they are fully flowering little rays of sunshine.  £1 a bunch and I'm enjoying them very much.

My dog has to be muzzled at the vets too, she never used to be like this. I can recommend cauliflower mash as a pie topping too, almost like real potato. All we can do right now is live week to week and hope we can get back to some sort of normality soon 🤞
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

I sometimes do a celeriac and butterbean mash for the top of my cottage pie and even fish pie.  It makes a lovely change from mash.
