    Hi guys
I decided to get the knitting needles out today. Keep my hands busy and give me something to do. One of my knitted blankets is getting a bit scruffy so when the wool I have is used up I’ll unravel that and reuse. The actual knitting I find quite therapeutic.
Im back at work tomorrow and Friday so that’s the next two days filled. The days have dragged this week.
OH is enjoying his new job and as he transports oldies and kids was called for his COVID shot today, he’s sixty this year so I’m relieved that he’s been done. It’s a relief that the rollout of the vaccine is going well, the sooner people are protected the better.
I hope everyone is keeping well and coping ok with the new year, This time of year I find a bit monotonous until spring kicks in, it all seems so plain after all the fun of Xmas, and with the dieting and cutting back spends ( both necessary) I know if I cut back on both over Xmas I wouldn’t need to but I’ve never managed a frugal Xmas yet and this year the food and gifts were chosen with love because we couldn’t be there in person.
I’ve also rediscovered Caedfel on catch-up, I forgot how much I enjoyed it. Little things 😀😀😀

    Hi guys
The weather can’t make it’s mind up today, at the moment it’s just grey but the clouds are moving quite fast so we shall see. The weatherman said maybe snow showers, but I hope not, I’ve seen my snow for this year ⛄️
I succumbed to McDonalds yesterday and asked OH to pick some up on his way home, not good for the diet, but I really enjoyed it 😋 So today is a loads of veg day to get back on track. I really need to start doing my prep either before I go to work or the evening before because after I’ve been on my feet all day I can’t be bothered and go for the lazy option. My diet is going ok, I only maintained this week but at least it wasn’t a gain. I hope all you dieters out there are keeping motivated 💜
When I was checking if anything exciting had happened on fbook this morning the first thing I saw was an targeted advert for stairlifts 😂😱😂 I’m not quite there yet, but it did make me chuckle.
I’ve been following the panic going on with the EU because they were late deciding on which vaccines to buy and am relieved that our government got in at the front. This is going to be ongoing problem from now on I think with the vaccines probably having to be a regular thing. Anyway enough of that, it not a problem that’s going anywhere soon.
Time for a nice filter coffee I think, keep well and warm everyone.

I always seem to get ads for planning your funeral, I chuckle too! Also on a weight loss plan and also struggled this week. Today I’m back on plan and I want to be as a couple of days off have made me feel like rubbish
  • I was going really well but then had an Indian last night so also gave into temptation lol I think it's easily done and atm food is one of few things we can enjoy

Must be something about yesterday - I had fish and chips last night - thoroughly enjoyed it too 😋
  • Hahaha maybe because it was the last Friday of the month and it feels like it's been a long month.

Only human to have the odd blip. Good that you can put it behind you and move on rather than see it as a fail. I’ve had some weird suggestions on my FB feed too, very insulted to see I had one from Drink Aware, the cheek of it she says opening the wine 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Oh no, I want fish and chips and an Indian takeaway now. I may have to compromise and make the Sw versions.
Its been really cold today here, but dry which means our nice little seaside town has been filled with people that should be staying at home rather than wandering round spreading the virus. Work was really busy and it was one of those days where people didn’t want to wear masks, in fact one woman kept touching her face all the time I was serving her, thank god for sanitizer. I was so stressed by home time. I really shouldn’t be counting the days until I get my state pension 😱

People don't seem to be too bothered about the stay as close to home as possible rules.  I watched 10 minutes of a news feature yesterday featuring a ward at The Royal Free - should be compulsory viewing for those that don't seem to understand this virus.  Staff crying with despair at the lives lost each and every day and with exhaustion after nearly 12 months of treating COVID.  And the patients were so poorly.
Sorry you've had a stressful day - I'm counting down to retirement too!
For now though reducing your debt is a really positive thing to do and you are really chipping away at the debt!
