Where I live they haven't even started vaccinations yet! The place where vaccinations are due to be done is now showing as being starting w/c 25-31 January! Last time I looked it was supposed to be 18-24 January. Just wonder if it's going to be 1-7 February next time I look!
I think they are going to struggle to get the first 4 cohorts done by 15 February, yet alone move on to the over 70s.

I don’t understand how some areas are running behind others, unless it’s because there’s more of a certain age group. We’ve got a large percentage of oldies with lots retiring round here so I don’t think there’ll be getting my group for a while.
My green bean and Brussels sprouts soup turned out really well. Strangely it doesn’t taste of either, very smooth and creamy and a bit like pea pods. So that’s lunch tomorrow and two portions in the freezer.
I felt so sorry for the delivery guys who brought my shopping , he was wet through.
I hope everyone is well

I really think the soup makers make soup taste better than if you cook in a pan and blend. I speak with the experience of someone who has been making soup for lunch for 20 years. Brussels are nice in a stir fry too.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Hi
I find that the soup is smoother than when I just use the hand blender. I don’t burn myself with splatters either.
When we went to Cuba they have Brussels sprouts as a salad veg, just served cold. They’re quite nice but I don’t tend to eat much salad on holiday. I prefer cake and cocktails 🍹
It’s finally stopped raining but is now blowing a gale, I was going to go for a walk but gusts can take your legs from under you on the seafront and it’s not a pleasure anyway.
Im hoping it’s fine tomorrow because I try to walk into work and back. OH has been running me but he’s started his new job now. It’s £5.20 for a day pass and I’d rather spend that on something else. It’s only 2 stops but it’s also not nice to work with a soggy uniform so swings and roundabouts.
I managed to knock another £50 off the credit card this morning because I’ve nothing else to buy between now and I get paid tomorrow.

I used to splatter myself and the worktop and kitchen tiles when I blended my soup 😱. I love my soup maker too.You are doing so well on paying down debts - you must have made great progress on your total.0

The total is coming down , not as fast as I’d like though.
I knock some off when I get paid and then as much as I can with what’s left at the end of the week.

Thanks Sarah
I knocked more off today as well when I got paid. I’m off until next Thursday now and I’m not planning on going anywhere so I’ll be spending very little.
I walked to work and back so that’s saved me £5.20 and is good for me but I’m shattered now. I was very good at exercising in the first lockdown but it’s not as much fun when it’s cold and windy.
After Martins programme last night I looked into getting a 0 % credit card to transfer the rest of the amount to but because I went bankrupt in 2009 my credit rating isn’t that great and I only work part time the only ones I could get had quite a high interest rate. If I hit the payments hard I should be able to clear it in about 5 months so it’s not the worth the hassle. One of the only benefits of lockdown is there’s nowhere to spend anything.

Well this morning we woke to snow, a very unusual thing for round here. It only did it until late morning and then went but it’s stayed cold all day. My knitted throws are getting good use at the moment. My diets going ok, I’ve lost 2 and a half pounds this week and the important thing is that I haven’t been hungry at all. We did have a takeaway last night but we do allow ourselves a treat occasionally and didn’t buy all the extra bits just the meals. I was full this morning so skipped breakfast and have had crackers and cheese and fruit for lunch, with lasagne for tea.I can’t believe we’ve only just over a week til the end of the month.Anyway I hope everyone is keeping well and warm
