I’m looking forward to seeing my DS and the grandkids at the end of the month, probably in a local park. Not seen them since we exchanged presents in our drive on Christmas Eve. I just can’t wait until we can start seeing friends and family in a normal manner again, it’s been far too long.

Today has been extremely noisy at work. The alarm needed upgrading so in true style the man arrived right on lunchtime, our busy period and set the damn thing off every couple of minutes for the next three hours. I luckily got to go home at closing time, my boss could still be there for all I know. Trying to communicate with customers with a mask on and the fire alarm going off was challenging to say the least 😀😀😀 It added spice to the day I suppose.
Tomorrow I can actually meet my friend for a walk tomorrow. It will be lovely even though the weather report is rubbish. Luckily I have a nice, warm , waterproof coat.
My tea tonight was leftover lasagne, I’ve never worked out how meals like lasagne and chilli improves with time.
The weather is supposed to be going colder so keep warm and well guys.

    Hi guys
I didn’t think my walk was going to happen when I got up this morning, it was showery and grey but Mother Nature smiled on me and although it was really windy and chilly we had blue sky.
We walked into town and back so I stocked up with face cream and dog toys for the grandpuppys for Easter ( I know I’m sad but they are as near to grandbabies that I’m getting any time soon) Generally I get everything I need in my weekly shop but these were things I was struggling with.
Tonight is our weekly treat of takeaway. Pizza tonight husbands choice.
I didn’t manage much off the debt this week because I had two birthdays I needed to send money to. I’ve no one until the end of April after this so I’ll try and put extra in next week.
For once, my work rota has fallen right and my Sunday falls on Easter 🐣
Because I’m 60 this year OH asked what I wanted to do for my birthday. I looked into going away to the lakes for the weekend before my birthday in August but boy are the prices high. I think I’ll make do with a cream tea and put the money to going somewhere warm later on.
I hope everyone is keeping warm and well. We might be getting a warmer spell next week. We can hope.
    Anyway bye for now.

    Hi guys
Today is a lazy day as there’s nowhere to go without getting cold and wet so I’m having a Doctor Who marathon while working on a knitted blankie. I unravelled an old one that was looking really scruffy and am reusing the wool.
Lunch was the end of a loaf of bread with lettuce and cooked meat. All needing using up so very frugal.
Tea will be roast veg curry, again odds and ends that needed using up. So frugal and meat free gosh we’re being good today 😀
I rooted out my shoes and sandals yesterday and gave them all a good clean. I’ve lived in my work trainers and ugg boots all winter and am looking forward to my feet feeling air again.
OH is happily polishing his motorbike in the hope of going for a ride on it sometime soon.
This is rather lovely having brighter days to look forward to with the clocks going forward.
Anyway have a nice Sunday everyone.

What a nice uplifting post - I agree about getting feet into shoes and even better sandals.  And it's still light at 6.20 pm yay!  You must be bracing yourself for an influx of seaside day trippers though.  I've missed the seaside so much but my nearest coast is about 40 miles away so it's been off limits for months.

We are lucky that we’ve had the beach and promenade during the lockdown. I don’t object to sharing with visitors from further inland, but a lot of locals do. Last summer we were inundated with visitors, some that didn’t respect the place. Leaving rubbish and not adhering to the space and mask rules so you can understand why.
OH and his mate have gone for a little ride out this evening. Not far, just enough to make sure nothing seizes up cos they’ve not been out for quite a while.
It’s suppose to warm up and be lovely tomorrow so I plan to walk to our local town and back. I might treat myself to a coffee and a cake. Don’t I know how to live 😀😀😀

    Hi guys
Today has been absolutely gorgeous. A bit chilly this morning but I still had a sat outside with a coffee and watched the world go by.
We popped our friends grandson his Easter egg by. He’s allergic to dairy so when I saw a nice dairy free one I grabbed it.
I’m waiting for my online shop to arrive but I’m not sure where it’s going to fit. It’s going to be freezer Jenga and tonight’s tea is a mix of things to use up odds and ends.  We had leftover pasta for lunch and then I’ve had soup and salad sandwich and OH is having chicken gougon salad. We’ve hardly made a dent in last weeks delivery and I forgot to knock off some bits before midnight. Nothing will go to waste but I’ve cancelled next weeks slot and I’ll run down things a bit.
I’m at work tomorrow and Saturday this week. There’s no sign of opening up longer hours yet and I must admit I’m ready to be doing more hours. I’m only doing  8 and a half this week and furlough and at least work gets you out of the house a bit. Also we need to start opening up more now as there’s more people about and the business needs building up again or we’ll be getting redundancies in winter. There’s already shops gone and two banks are in the process of closing, scary times.

I don’t think we’ll see the full extent of the damage the pandemic has caused until we’re all out and about again. It’s such a shame for the shops etc that have had to close. I’m not looking forward to seeing our city centre when I finally get back there. By all accounts a lot of things have sadly closed down.

    Good morning guys
    Happy Easter
Unfortunately my Easter egg didn’t make it until today. It was calling to be eaten and was lovely. I know it was only a bar of chocolate in an egg shape but still tasted extra special. I also got a pack of little Easter eggs off work, nice gesture.
Also, we’ve been told that when the shops reopen we go back to full hours. I’m ready for a bit more structure to my days and I think we’ll be really busy with more people not going abroad this year.
Its really overcast here but not as cold which is nice. I doubt we’ll go far. OH will happily watch the motorsport all day.
I’m not sure whether DS1 and his partner will be visiting tomorrow now. We may put it off as the weather is going to be really cold 🥶 but we can always pop over to see them for a couple of hours when the weather is better. They have sheep so the lambs will start popping out soon which will keep them nearer to home.
Anyway have a lovely day guys
    Keep well

By contrast the weather where I live has been very warm and sunny today. For a small island we have such diverse weather conditions. How lovely your DS has sheep, I bet the lambs are gorgeous 😍 I think we’re all ready to get back to normal, I’m really looking forward to being able to wander round non essential shops again. Happy Easter 🐣
