Hello all
Just a quick update from me....(Internet finally set up in new house).
Well, the move into our rented house went fine, we actually love it here and I thought I would be upset to leave old house but I honestly wasnt. I think the struggle to keep hold of it over the last 12 months 'took the shine' off the place...
We have yet to 'hand the keys over' - I have told mort co and sec loan co that we are going to do vol repo, they sent me a form to sign (no chance). Just a few bits to get from old house then I will send them the keys and a letter of my own
Our BR date WAS booked for 29th Feb, however, we won't have the fees together so I am ringing the court tomorrow to change it to end March.
The coop account is open, running smoothly.
Oh - and anyone that remembers - we sold the van (eventually)!!
So that's it. A big good luck to Scarlett for tomorrow and thanks to all for support and advice up to now :T0 -
I can understand what you mean by 'the shine had gone on the old house'
Heres to a fresh start and happier times to come:beer:The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -
Hi MamaCas
Im new to this forum and just want to say thanks for your diary- my BR court date is 17 March. I too have negative equity, and a humungous mortgage, still deciding what to do on that score. Reading your post is so helpful. Good luck in your new home.0 -

Dear all
Well (gulp), BR day is Friday
I have printed the forms off and started to fill them in tonight. I have the week off work and 2 year old in nursery for 3 mornings so I can get them all done.
Other developments are: I have been on a Housing Association list since I realised we were in the messy stuff with the mortgage and luckily (and v. gratefully) have been offered / have accepted one.
These past few weeks have been 'head in sand' bliss - my phone number changed when we moved and all 'nasty' mail has been redirected (and I've never opened it), so now is the reality check.... 4 days to go!!
Our mortgage company sent someone round to the old house to 'check our position'...and asked a neighbour if we'd moved. I spoke to this person to advise that we are handing the keys over (tomorrow) and doing vol. repossession (but without filling their nasty forms in)! I HAD already told them this, however....
OK - I have a question re: the Debtors Petition forms. My OH is self employed. The BR involves NO business debts, only personal, so on the section 'and carrying on business as' and 'and lately carrying on business as' - does this has to be completed?
I can see more questions coming (please don't all hide)!
Thanks for reading this far, hope I haven't sent anyone to sleep

Hiya,
Yep, it still needs completing. Otherwise you will get asked questions in interview, as section 7 (I think) would state he was self employed and they would want to know more then0 -
Well, thanks to the help from all on here (and also Scarlett), forms are nearly done.
TBH, they weren't as bad as I thought, and Scarlett's 'Folder of Doom' idea really helped when finding a/c numbers, addresses, balance owing etc.
So, tomorrow I am going to the banks to check balances, withdraw any available cash to tide us over until Co-op account is 'unfrozen', then coming back home to finish and photocopy  the forms.
Should all be set then for Friday morning, appointment is 11am <gulp>.
Thanks again to all for the help, it is very much appreciated:T0 -
Really hope it goes well for you on Friday MammaCas!
All the best:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0
