Storage Heaters so old I can't find any markings/names or dates
Options
A RICS survey said they may be from when the place was build 1992/1993
Attached are pictures of them.
I believe they may be out of sync with on/off peak and possibly costing me a tonne in winter.
Please help anyone. I may have to get them looked at or even removed and replaced.

Being out of sync has nothing to do with the heaters themselves but the issue will be with the time switch.
Photo of the time switch please.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Are you sure they're storage heaters? They seem to be fixed to the wall, and the marks on the carpet suggest that once there were storage heaters but they've been replaced by convectors.0

Looks like storage heaters to me, very similar to mine.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I have been trying to take the front covers off but not sure they actually budge unless being completely dismantled?0 -

Hi,your cheap rate could be 00:00 untill 07:30, what is your idea of cheap rate?0

If they're warm and you switch them off at the wall outlet, do they soon go cold? If so, they're convectors.0

Check the meter to see if you have Economy 7. They do look like storage heaters but would have thought they’d have input and output controls.
Should be a timer unit too if E7. Even if the times are slightly out, I don’t think you’d be
charging them on peak rate as the timer switches rate and power to heaters together.
At least that’s how my E10 system works.

Robin - I can't find anything by the metre's in a communal cupboard shared with 1 person. A smart meter was added in so if you mean they go off the timing of the meter then should be up to date
frugal - I'm on economy 7 so midnight to 06:00 night rate
Gerry1 - They are storage heaters, if turned off they will release over 2-3 days. Tested that last year1 -

PS there should be 7 hrs not 6. Might be worth while switching the heaters on and staying up till you see the neon in the wall switches go red - ditto see what time they go out.
