Is that code for something naughty? If I go to see my fancy woman it's usually 'up the A377.'But she isn't that fancy nowadays and we're just good mates. ....honest!
Red dawn today, so I'd normally expect something horrible to follow, but we're promised sunshine, so I might bin the idea of doing the weekly shop...
Old friend? I'm old and I'm mostly friendly.
Definitely not shopping today. Planting stuff. Wife is pulling stuff out. It's called equilibrium.

This is Hebe Addenda, i bought 2 of these in the summer, specifically for these large pots and they've been excellent value for money, really gorgeous summer colour, even now 🦋🔅

late clocking on, early start & up to RHS Wisley this morning. had to be early because they now require a booked slot, no longer just turn up, nearly as hard as getting delivery slot from a supermarketHowever worth the effort in the warm sun, made a nice change from usual run of the mill dayThe Canadian Memorial maples along the A3 at Bramshott looked their best in the sunshine.I've never seen a forest of them but it must be spectacularWisley looked good, and glad to say lots of people, not crowded, but at least it's an income generatedHere's a taster

Maples are amazing this time of year and cycle through their colours so quickly. Mine is now a bright vivid reddish colour. It's always the first to turn followed shortly by the others 🍂Farway said:late clocking on, early start & up to RHS Wisley this morning. had to be early because they now require a booked slot, no longer just turn up, nearly as hard as getting delivery slot from a supermarketHowever worth the effort in the warm sun, made a nice change from usual run of the mill dayThe Canadian Memorial maples along the A3 at Bramshott looked their best in the sunshine.I've never seen a forest of them but it must be spectacularWisley looked good, and glad to say lots of people, not crowded, but at least it's an income generatedHere's a taster
Sounds like you had a lovely day! As with the other, love the pic 💚
Just my opinion, no offence 🐈1 -
Beautiful colour C, looks like you made a great choice there and looks even better in the sun 🌞[Deleted User] said:Hebe again ?Just my opinion, no offence 🐈1 -
*makes note to self - if want to have an affair either travel up the M5 or the A377* 😹Davesnave said:[Deleted User] said:

Rosemoor is the same, but to my knowledge they've never filled all the slots. On two occasions when I booked it poured down, but then I realised it was possible to get a slot the day before instead of playing 'guess the weather.' Been twice this year to Rosemoor, but sadly, many NGS gardens haven't opened at all.Farway said:late clocking on, early start & up to RHS Wisley this morning. had to be early because they now require a booked slot, no longer just turn up, nearly as hard as getting delivery slot from a supermarket
My spies tell me there are 5 varieties of Addenda Hebes and more than one colour with some, so I'm confused already.
Marketing ploy? Who cares, if they do the business. I'm keen to get a few as the ones I have are boring.Got my planting by the stream done.....well, some of it anyway. Now our new neighbour tells us he's going to chop down about 6 trees, so there's a good chance of more sunshine down there and potentially a more exciting mix of plants.
In times past I've lost even 'bombproof plants' like Purple loosestrife and Iris robusta, due to the shade.2 -
