Awful weather - typical Brits talk

Davesnave said:Bojo will probably cancel Christmas this year. I read somewhere reliable, like The Star, there's a Christmas pudding shortage already, caused by panic buying. Well, not in this house, as we always have a couple kicking about from previous years.Regardless, Chris Whittless will probably say Christmas puddings are bad for you and next to useless in a pandemic, then produce a chart showing more people are hospitalised after consuming puddings than those who just eat regular seasonal food, like kale.In the village yesterday a group of us were counting all the folk who had died this year. We came to the conclusion it had been on the cards for most of them for years; either that or dementia. Then we realised most of us were over 70, so we hurriedly talked about something else!Looks like another 'Curate's egg' day today. I didn't realise curates laid eggs, especially the male ones, but ours is definitely female here, which is more than I can say for 2 of the 3 Rhode Island Reds we raised......Someone mention Christmas? My memory isn't what it was.Just my opinion, no offence 🐈1

Sunny morning, I just maybe take some hardwood grape cuttings but no rush.Trouble with lock down & now hiding self shielding I've nearly run out of suitable compost and don't really want to drive miles to the likes of B & Q to buy just one bag with all the CV hassle that may entailI do have old stuff around & cuttings don't need require much nutrient until they strike & grow, which is not likely before next Spring, so I'll probably use old grow bag stuff for the time being2

Been nice here today too, actually saw that big ball of heat for most of the day and managed to do some odd jobs around the garden. Got a busy weekend coming up but not garden related 🌞Just my opinion, no offence 🐈1 -

Well folks, today i bought some .....sshhhh ....... christmas presents 😆😉
Wrote some cards at the weekend too !
It's looming large and as it's a busy time work-wise i get as much done now so i can glide into christmas smoothly and calmly 😊🎄🎁
It stems from always being busy and disliking rushing, suits my personality to be methodical and organised 😋First, take responsibility .....0 -

It's lovely out there today, so I finally got to plant the eucalyptus, plus half a dozen other things.Yesterday I had a nice surprise when I walked down to the stream and found our new neighbour there had felled one of his large edible chestnut trees, letting in lots more light.
Now, if he'll just do the other one....
Encouraged by that, I'm going to wade up the stream and plant some more geraniums in a minute. G phaeum does well down there, but the common ones are as dull as ditchwater, so I've multiplied-up some phaeum album and a named one, 'Joan Baker.'Also bulking-up 'Beth Chatto' for the same job:

You've got a great day for it @Davesnave 😎
I've been sat on my backside all day long, had a dreadful nights sleep and have been totally devoid of anything faintly resembling energy today, such a waste of a day 😥First, take responsibility .....0 -

Been nice here today so decided to boss my OH around whilst he had a go at fixing our back gate which had broken in the winds we had the other week. Think he's glad I'm back to work tomorrow! 😃Just my opinion, no offence 🐈0
