Awful weather - typical Brits talk

Tempting at the moment Less but yes, if I can find them locally I can get 3yrs worth of seed for 89p….. sometimes I think I make life difficult for myself 🫤
I had forgotten that there's a seed swap box in one of the villages because often there's nothing in it. I'm thinking there may be more around.

Morning folks, cool but sunny here this morning
Very tempting pics, choc cake & strawberries 😋I can just taste them, both looking scrummy
2P I need to look under the bonnet and see if I can understand the cramped engine parts to service. I know the feeling, I've yet to do that on the "new" Hyundai, plus check on "spare wheel" to see if I have real wheel or some toy plus sealer gubbins. I'd rather find out at home than at side of the road in the rain.
Followed Less link to More Veg, some interesting items but MUST RESIST. I just do not have the room, especially with my conservatory now being declared Hostile due to heat.
The recent winds have dislodged some of the anti bird fleece over the apple tree, will have to get out there and do some pegging. 😁
The financial nonsense carries on, nearly done except for double checking before posting forms off
Caught up with GW yesterday. I suppose the guessing now starts on MD's replacement, can't be my horticultural DGD, bit too young this time round, next time maybe 😁 Just to spite us it could be the garble voiced long streak from Beechgrove, let's hope they choose a gardener and not a Presenter.
Only gardening may be the aforementioned pegging and pick some of the ripe outdoor toms

They've been testing out presenters for quite some time so we've known it's coming.
They seem to be keen on getting a woman but none have been popular. Quite like the laid back guy that took over for a while but none seem to have plots or plans, anything other being a presenter rather than a gardener.
Nothing more than sorting seeds today. Found a 'new' pack of radishes and while it's wet and warm may try planting those. Plus a few other surplus things. Sow and see.
So far I have my 6 kale plants survived and two baby ones growing so seed can wait.
I have picked some sloes this morning so shop for some gin and that could be this evenings entertainment.

Very late today due to a close encounter with the local council about our planning application. Hopefully, they'll allow our back garden to become domestic curtilage. My mind is still whirling with all the reference number and security barriers one has to leap over to give Jim Jobsworth his 30 pieces of silver…..😵 Happily, I got Jill Jollynice on the phone. 🤩She was sympathetic, but I know Jim's still sitting in the back office with his slide rule! 😩 What a palaver!
The main advantage of going legal with the garden is to remove restrictions it has while still classed as a field. For example, if we want a shed, we don't have to give reasons why, or ask permission if it's a 'normal' size. And if we want a grannex, things are much easier too… well, in theory. 😏
This morning was as grim looking as I felt indoors, but the afternoon seems to be shaping-up to be partly sunny. 🙂I shall get on the mower and give the rapidly-reviving grass a haircut.

Mrs Dusty's tyre pressures were checked yesterday, before she set off for Somerset again, and I even fitted a working stop/tail bulb! 😇 I carry a spare in the van, but it's all I can do to lift it let alone get a punctured one off. There's no jack anyway, so that's one for Brittania to rescue! 😄

Good to see you have your
warresilience priorities worked-out. I'm sure our Leader would be proud if he knew. 🤣Never believe anything until it's officially denied.

Dusty between Morrisons and Tesco the latter has an offer on Gordon's gin with a clubcard. Looking at the unknown makes which you have to wait 3 months to find are dire I treated myself to the good stuff for the sake of £3ish.
Never say never about fruit and veg. Today's haul is sloes, blackberries and damsons 😀
Feeling groggy I went to look for owls and found local damsons @ £3a punnet with a pound off for 2 at a village station.
Down the lane, ripe blackberries on the marsh and sloes on the hill this morning. So lots to do shortly.
