I can vouch for the fact that some large clematis, around £12 also die, so Morries' wee specials are the better MSE bet. 😉
Misty and moist here too, and likely to stay that way until after lunch. Mrs Dusty returns today, so it's hurried dom-non and nothing gardening-wise until that's done! 😬
Yesterday, I completed the basic grass cutting, only to notice the bottom yard, where I started, had already grown almost to previous lushness! 🤔 Considering the impermanence of grass cutting, I then decided to do the hornbeam hedge by the woodland, which is only a once or twice a year job. There, I can leave the prunings where they fall and then turn them to mulch with the mower. 😁
2p, The one walnut I've harvested so far didn't need any peeling. I just stuck it in the nutcracker, and the green skin split away nicely. We're keeping a good eye on those in case squirrels remember them, so another mission this afternoon to assess, along with plum picking. 😊
Yesterday I was bemoaning the lack of ponds here. The raised brick one at Rosemoor always attracts children, and our two GSs were no exception. Here they're investigating whether goldfish will eat grapes! 🙄
No, they won't!
Never believe anything until it's officially denied.
