Now, if he'll just do the other one....
Encouraged by that, I'm going to wade up the stream and plant some more geraniums in a minute. G phaeum does well down there, but the common ones are as dull as ditchwater, so I've multiplied-up some phaeum album and a named one, 'Joan Baker.'Also bulking-up 'Beth Chatto' for the same job:Well, any geranium that's white or light pink, lilac etc would do, but they have to look natural-ish as it's a wild area. I didn't get to plant them today, though.Looked at the grass and decided I had to mow instead! 2.5 hours of drudgery, but at least it's done now and Tuesday looks possible for planting. Tomorrow's a wash-out again.
Catsacor, my solution to not sleeping comes in bottles from Scotland, but it's just an excuse really! Hope you get a better night. Now I'm old, I can manage on 4 hours, but I prefer 5 or 6. Any more and the cats would probably think I've passed-on.Edit: Conkers is probably banned at school now BC2. Far too dangerous! But seriously, conker season is often a pain in schools, due to the amount of shoe lace nicking that goes on and arguments over stuff like whether a niner that beats a twelver becomes a 21er!

I've been sat on my backside all day long, had a dreadful nights sleep and have been totally devoid of anything faintly resembling energy today, such a waste of a day 😥
Been nice here today so decided to boss my OH around whilst he had a go at fixing our back gate which had broken in the winds we had the other week. Think he's glad I'm back to work tomorrow! 😃
Last night i slept okay, work today so need to buck my ideas up.First, take responsibility .....0 -

That last house i gardened on thin poor soil, here it's pure sand and i'm cultivating a different look altogether !
No cottage garden beds and borders, more shrubberies and small trees in the last half, courtyard in the first half.First, take responsibility .....1 -
D, Health & Safety gone mad me thinks. Conkers was one of those little pleasures the young lads in our village use to enjoy years ago. Now I think you have to wear safety goggles and probably a hazmat suit if you want to play! 🙄. Yes lol, the disappearing shoe laces mystery 😹
C, another vote for hot choccy, especially now the nights are starting to draw in. Glad you've slept better.
Weather pretty standard today. Nice and dry up to about 10ish then the rain turned up (uninvited). Leaves are beginning to turn yellow on the trees and one of my maples is turning a vivid red/orange which is a glorious sight. Days are numbered before the leaves drop off 🍁🍂
Love this time of year but miss the colour in the garden when it's gone.Just my opinion, no offence 🐈2 -
Morning campers, 1st coffee of the day
Cold and damp out, quite autumnal
