  • Nobody will be locking us down where I am, but I guess the RHS may lock us out. We have miles of Forestry Commission land here and they can't close that. :)

I agree yet Stoke Wood was closed at the end of August. I heard the paths have been mucked up by mountain bikers during lockdown so perhaps they're trying to give them time to recover.
Love living in a village in the country side

Yes, too close to Exeter, those woods.....and of course Exeter itself isn't a great idea at present. :o Bloomin' students! :#
Now, in my day, I was a.......um....err....student.

Any lock downs this time may be tempered with a bit of reality, for instance leaving access to wide open spaces for exercise.
However one must never underestimate the power of Stupid / Computer Says

Back on track to gardening [see how neatly I segued into it?] Today is collect beans seeds, most seem to have dried out as intended on the vine and I hope to catch them while dry & before ant real damp arrives
Runners & climbing purple podded French
Although I'm collecting the runners [Polestar] TBH they were not a runaway success this year so should I spy a cheap offer of another variety I'll try them
I have Scarlet Emperor but hate PIA prepping removing the stringy sides
One I did like was Wisley Magic but my saved old seed failed to germinate :'(

There'll be plenty of offers around, just need to catch them at the right time

The pixels had hardly dried before an offer from T & M popped up. Firestorm 60% off @ £1.49. Duly ordered, along with other items as one does ;)
Although T & M are not my favourite firm it's any port in a storm / bird in hand etc at CV times like these should the lock down spiral and we get repeats of seed firm delays etc as per this year

When out collecting my own seeds yesterday some thing, squirrel I assume, has been having right good dig in the tubs the beans are in
Guessing it's after the daff bulbs that are also in there, time to find my chicken mesh!

  • I hear you F, darn squirrels!  Mainly go after my bird feeders here.  Got lots done today, cloudy and a bit chilly but lovely to get my raised beds cleared and manured ready for next year 👍
Just my opinion, no offence 🐈
  • Morning Campers 😋
Crazy mild here, this morning, 16C already, sadly it's equally as humid and low cloud 😏
    I'm up the M5 again today 😋😆

Ah, well, you're in the wind-shadow of Exmoor just now, while we're just in the wind!
Going to get my Screw fix today. Work that one out! :D

  • Lol D, windy here too but no need for any kind of screwing at my end so to speak.  I imagine Kenneth Williams saying "oh matron" after your/my comments, made me smile 😁

Hiya C, getting curious now what you do when you disappear up the M5... spill...

Strangely enough, one of my 'alternative personalities' was recently PPR by the management here. His avatar was Kenneth Williams and he usually ended posts with a reference to Matron followed by a double entendre. I'm quite sad, because I liked him more than me! :'(
