Looking nice 2P, and still colourful. Your link appears to have been MSE censored with exclamation marks !!!! so unsbale to followDull, grey & windy, only need to empty the tea leaves onto the borders and that is my day's gardening doneHere's the cones at the bottom of my garden, not my trees but make a nice barrier enjoyed by squirrels. Bit blurry because I had to use a telephoto lensEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens4

It was a Google page of immages of yarn bombing in taunton....using tiny url. Not sure which of those was objected to.
Lovely sunshine but still a bitter wind that goes straigh through your clothes. So filled the bird feeder and got back to Christmas decorations.
Farway i saw a tree like that when I was photographing on the moors. I was really taken by how lovely the cones hang. Do you know what it's called?I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

(Far too many people make the mistake of planting their old Christmas tree too near their front door, only to regret it over the next 40 years!)3 -
Ditto, Norway Spruce by the looks of the cones. I think they shed their seed in spring, so you might find the odd seedling.
After a slightly unsettled volunteer session last week, when we were about to abandon it and the weather improved so we finished our main jobs, have been getting odd bits of tie planting but nothing consistent. Partly due to Christmas shopping as well. Roll on New Year.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing3 -
Wet and windy but not freezing like it has been.Secured the bird feeders and table. dropped the chairs to the ground and put the pyramid Bay/Christmas tree back in it's sheltered spot (along with the reindeer) ready for the high winds and rain tomorrow. The garden looks very sorry for itself. I can't think what else to plant for mid winter cheer. However there is the tinyest sign of a primrose about to bloom and the rest are looking more healthy. We don't seem to be getting much of a break weatherwise for me to get out and root prune the potted shrubs and at least make it look tidyier. One bonus of note - I bought a white Chaenomeles last spring because the blooms were large and many and put it in a pot to avoid my many drain covers. It's already got one flower and lots of bursting buds. A really good doer so as soon as it gives a few more flowers I'll post the photo and the name.

Very dull with storm Barra on it's way, no doubt bashing Dave already [if still here]My garden is ready, not many leaves left on the trees now but plenty on the ground for "swirling" around in the wind2P, primroses, I think I spotted a polyanthus atetmpting to form buds but wasn't certain, your post makes me think I'm not delusional just yetEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens2

Not much of a storm compared to the last one. Yes it was windy and it rained but it is winter. The measures I took seem to have done well. Just a pot of small Rosemary hit the deck for some reason. Also my 4ft Purple Sprouting plant was looking insecure so I rearranged the canes and fingers crossed.I have in the past replanted mature brocolli plants that uprooted themselves in a storm. One I had to do more than once but they survived well.Everyones plants look a little the worse for wear after the winds and wet. I have roses flowering but they are now rotten on the whole. Really annoying.

Very cold and wet here with the sort of wind that makes your bones ache. The river is looking threateningly full already so I think we're in for a serious wetting this season. There has been some glorious tree planting on my usual morning walk with some really pretty and quite large saplings going in over the last few days. Here is one of them on the river bank.
I spent this morning's walk admiring the work in progress and losing count of the new arrivals, it gave me a real boost to see money well spent on trees for all to enjoy."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."
