Dull & a bit drizzly here, nothing to tempt me into the garden, purple clematis photo will have to wait today

2P, by coincidence I spotted autumn cyclamen at the base of hedge over the road, it’s more of a “green waste” dumping ground at times, but I was very surprised to see cyclamen in flower over there, fingers crossed they’ll spread. I know the miniature daffs in same spot have multiplied over the years

Once you get the cyclamen going they spread. The ones I have bloom in autumn and again in spring at a time when the colour is welcome.
    Great little plant.
Could you get over there quietly with a small trowel or spoon? :)
Still mild, very mild because of the cloud cover but dry.
My Purple sprouting are going to have to be double or triple staked as they keep going up and the bottom leaves falling off. I'll have trees soon!
My Magnolias leaves are even blacker, they don't look well so I may resurect that thread as I can't find out why. I had a nice young man selling double glazing and he was a landscape gardener in real life. Even he was curious.
My baby cherry tree has lovely red and yellow autumn foliage so a good little bargain from Tescos, blossom, fruit and autumn foliage. Result!
Took the day off today as it's my birthday and went along the Exe Valley which is stunning with the beach trees in multiple bronzes and yellows. It's been a really glorious autumn.

Misty start but sun's out now

2P, the cyclamen are safer where they are I'm riddedl with squirrels which  re nice to see but little devils with any bulbs in my garden. I have resigned myself to admiring crocus, mini iris & cyclamen from afar, along wiht watching the squirrels prancing around on the neighbours' bird feeders and flicking two claws up at me
Nice result on the baby cherry as well

Off to a volunteer meeting this afternoon, if the sun keps out I'll see what Autumn pics may be available there, there's a large oak tree so could be golden leaves, or maybe more toadstools, it's a good spot for them there

Incredibly mild here too. Was volunteering today, and as we rounded the corner into the next dale the mist was just clearing. By the time I got there it was full sunshine. However by the time I left at 2.30 it had clouded over and the mist was starting to descend again. At home it's a balmy 14 degrees.

We've had the odd night when it's been about 2 degrees but most of the time it's 7-9 degrees. I'm trying to harden off some onions and garlic I put to root, to reduce the problem of the jays, but the weather simply isn't "hardening".

  • Morning all 😻

Been raining here for the last few days and pretty miserable really.

The trees are threatening to drop their leaves soon so time to dust off my broom me thinks!

I've taken great pleasure in watching the blackbirds gobbling down the sultanas I've put out for them lately.  Pigeons aren't interested in them which is a bonus, either that or they think they're rat droppings or something 😹

Loving your pics and chatter x
Just my opinion, no offence 🐈

Today is just dull and mild with bit of a breeze to stir the leaves
No gardening today, and this time I have the excuse of a sore foot, kicked the bed as I stumbled around in the dark on return fro loo, grrr,

Is it a loofa RAS? Lovely shape and colour.
Mild dry days still about 16C though the cold wind adds a chill.
I've been deer watching again the moors are so beautiful, bonus as theres no social distancing, masks or sanitiser. Just fresh air and quiet and soon it will be too cold.
Did organise ny gardening bits and bobs. Packeted the seed I'd collected.
The fancy onions I tried this year had been put in the garage to dry out and many have gone manky. Probably because it's been so mild. So I've cleaned and stripped them. Some I've plaitted and hung up. The rest are in a bowl. Looks like a lot of stews shortly.
Next year I'm going back to the plain and simple ones.
