Sort of sunny but un exciting weather outside, ideal for wallabies I expect :) , in my defence there is a statley home near here, Sussex, , name forgotten, that does have wallabies roaming around. And of course llamas are common as muck these days, ask Dave

Your garden looks nice 2P, and much tidier than mine right now. In my defence I'm waiting for the frost to cut stuff down but they're hanging on so far

Late to reply because this thread is too heavy for me to post on it now using my kindle, even a thanks won't work and now I've got to the computer I've forgotten what I wanted to say!
Farway, the garden only looks tidy because I didn't show the stacks of compost, the trodden muddy lawn where I'm digging the beds wider. Also it's small, I see it every time at the back of the house because of big windows so if you don't keep up it's staring you in the face as 'a job to be done'
Ras, I love that smokey effect in the grasses.
And Goldfinches, lucky you to have that lovely view.

Sun's out and the leaves are still hanging on. I tried for a couple of Autumn photos but TBH what the camera captured was not what I imagined I'd photographed,
I had taken shots carefully composed images of golden foliage on artistic gnarled branches.
The camera took muddy yellow leaves on grey branches :(

On the plus side I did clear the old tomatoes out of the conservatory and put some of the new polyanthus outside for the winter, still in pots but I had noticed some of the leaves were starting to get mildew, due to still damp air I think and hoping a touch of frost will sort them

There were  about six ripe toms lurking, duly picked, plus some whitefly and aphids  looking for a cosy winter home on my young potted Shasta daisies, they got a quick squirt for the winter >:)

@Farway - poor you, very demoralising finding that the careful composition was in one's minds eye rather than the lens. Well done on the squirt front though.
I spotted some ladybirds this morning some of whom had unusual numbers of spots but all my photos were out of focus due to their moving at the wrong moment.

We think Dave may have been a very naughty boy again and is back in the sin bin

Milder out this morning but not exciting, not sunny but not grey, just November, if it brightens I may try again for the superb Autumn image I know is out there somewhere, especially as I have purple clematis and pink roses in flower, if only the sun would peek out at the right time that’ll be my picture

GF, I also find ladybirds hard to get on camera, either moving or hiding in a crevice

It's been mildish for the time of year, sunshine and cloud in rotation.
I meant to come home and mow the lawn while it was reasonably dry but the dense cloud cover at 3.30pm made it dark early.
There are still some wild hedgerow flowers out amazingly.
I have white Pinks blooming, the odd shrub rose and of course Hidcote lavender and the perenial wallflowers. I'm not going to mention the other 'delicate' plant that has been blooming for 3 years in case the mention is it's nemisis.
The autumn cyclamen are putting their heads above the parapet but having been moved I doubt I'll get many.
