Hello working from home, I think it's time to take the dog for a walk and then have some lunch.
Happy Thursday 'loosers' :-)
Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Day one of diet
Lunch: quick and simple
Tea: sorted it out after lunch when I wasn't hungry, however the danger is dessert (for DH) which is some bananas that need using up and are currently in the woodburner oven with demerara sugar and syrup. I just might have second bowl of soup.5 -

Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

It's nice to see so many of you joining us again
Please shout if I've missed anyone
I spent lunchtime sorting my baking supply cupboard, I've missed baking but with no office kitchen table to leave cake or dinners to take dessert I've pushed it all back in the cupboard, at least it is tidier, for a dieter i seem to have a lot of sugar. I may have to donate supplies to my nephew who is a skinny baker/eater with hollow legs, I find cooking relaxing and baking a good way to destress, but as I already have courgette cake hiding in the bottom of the freezer away from temptation daren't make any more, there's only so much I can justify keeping as visitors are in short supply
My kitchen tidying also produced a bag of bulgar wheat and one of buck wheat as well as the usual suspects so some recipe planning to use them up will be required, I usually make salads with them in the summer but I think as I wasn't taking lunches to work they didn't get used.
B- yoghurt, cooked apple and berries
L - omelette and salad
D - LO chicken curry and rice (maybe some green veg)
S - fibre one popcorn bar

Hi
I'd like to join (again) after piling weight on during lockdown. I've had to log in with a different username but used to be Rose Wood. Seemed to lose it when they changed the forum last year. I lost some weight for my daughter's wedding (although not as much as I wanted) but stress over problems with the family business over lockdown has led to me abandoning my low carb diet and putting on a couple of stone!!! I would like to aim for losing 14lb initially. Hopefully, reporting in here everyday will give me an incentive and get me back into my low carb ways.
Rose
P.S. Daughter's wedding last September was amazing and I am due a little grand daughter in November.

Yes I have a ten year old grand daughter who lives close by too. She keeps me fit and active with all the fun we have together. Today it is dancing and gymnastics!4

yesterday:
lunch: soup fruit
Tea: cross between a soup and a stew, of venison and veg, apple snow made with eating apples therefore no added sugar, a bit of ice cream,
Extras: a couple of boiled eggs, two pieces dark chocolate, plenty of coffee.
Today:-
lunch: omelette, with bits of salmon on the top (forgot to add pepper so a bit bland) fruit
Tea, something with turkey probably a soup/stew done in the ironheart woodburner as it saves fuel and I can forget about it once it's in the oven. Then sugar free jelly already in the fridge, with some tinned peaches in it which I found at the back of the cupboard.
Any extra I'll list tomorrow.4 -
Hi everyone, im not here to log a weight gain or loss, just to have a moan and ask for your own experiences!
i was doin quite well, at least doing OK!
i eased up a bit during the last week, nothing major, but i had coffee out with a freind and had a yummy traybake.
i had a gin and a small bag of crisps with hubby one evening.
i had a piece of toast as well as cereal one morning.
you get my drift, nothing horrendous.
anyhow ive put on a pound! I might have expected to stay the same.
how can i ever hope to keep my weight loss off and live a relatively normal life?
ill be sixty soon and i think its much harder now im older.
have any of you managed to maintain your loss for a lengthy period of time and if so how?

Sorry Artytarty I'm still looking looking for a way to lose it and keep it off. I will say writing everything you eat down sometimes makes you realise you have been eating more than you think? I will also say it is harder once you get past 50
My BIL is one of those annoying people who was told 2/3 years ago he was pre-diabetic and to lose 2.5 stone which he went away and did (ex military he follows orders 🙂) and has kept it off my sis says he now doesn't diet but weighs himself once a week and if he has gained anything he immediately cuts down until it's gone, she hates him as she's like me always trying to lose weight and has done most of her adult lifeLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin4
