It’s really horrible having something hanging over your head. How long will the professional thing drag on for? Whatever it is, I think sometimes they take a long time just to cost you a lot of money and hope you’ll give in or lose the will to fight in the end 😖 Stay strong!Essentials are…well…essential! Don’t fret about toilet paper, etc. Needs must!

@WinterWarrior Thank you so much for your kind words. I have no idea how long the professional thing will drag on, it's a wait and see / hope at each stage situation, defence is now in preparation though. It is quite a challenge though, I am heartbroken and anxious. This too shall pass.
3 more days of isolation. So no walks, but have been at yoga and meditation sessions. The weather is not good so it is not so bad not to get out.
Just paid my instalment for CC 3 - I asn't able to for a while, as the payment wasn't going through. So that's another thing off the list.3-month emergency fund (Cash ISA & PBs): £4744/ £6,000

Ok, so I am out of isolation, that was hard. I have had my haircut.
Professional thing dominating everything. I haven't heard from my solicitor in nearly 2 weeks, and that is starting to concern me. I am having flights of fancy of all sorts of things, but I think some of it might stick. But mostly I just want to run away. Far away. I have a lot of support, and that feels good, but this is an awful situation.
Meanwhile, on NSD 5 for the month, dodged the deliveroo last night after feeling wiped out from the day of keeping it all together.

Solicitors are notoriously bad for being slow. They don’t seem to have reached the real world of email and instant communication (possibly to justify the astronomical price per letter). You certainly can’t predict from a delay if it’s good or bad ☹️ Are the solicitors trying to avoid court, or will that happen anyway?Well done on avoiding deliveroo.Have you made any progress on your list? Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Thanks, @WinterWarrior am definitely on the right side of OK now.
I have been in quite a bit of a ditch, to say the least, I had an ethical dilemma and have been thinking about what I would do if the professional thing comes to the worst possible conclusion. A fair bit of hopelessness has been going on.
I think that if the worst possible conclusion arrives...it will be some time before that can happen, and I think I will be able to pay off all of the debt by then. It could easily be another 18 months, but it could be all over in October, with a good outcome. We just don't know at the moment. I have been thinking about potential new work opportunities and have a couple that might stick, well at least 1, even if the worst doesn't happen. That is sort of nice.
So hopefully, head clearer and can re-focus on the debt. Which I am delighted to say, have gained another mini-goal target. CC2 minimum payments down to less than £150. Whoop! Feels like that is going to gain some traction now. Just about on track for 50% of the debt to be gone by end of 2021. And after the tax bill is paid Jan 31st 2022, I will have another £410 to add to debt repayment, and at some point, I will have a rebate, because I am not really doing any self-employed work but will need to pay an advance.
So back to the here and now, back to the 50 things before I am 50. Back to meal planning and staying on budget. Back to meeting the NSD target.
I am on annual leave from tomorrow evening 5.30pm. 10 whole days off in a row. There are things in the diary but there will be room for some of my 50 things.
It will be a bit of a difficult week as I will be woking with the solicitor on my initial response.. but at least I won't have to work as well as do that. And at least things will be moving forward and it will be a waiting game until early October to find out if things are going to the next stage or not (which I think it will). I would very much prefer it if it didn't get to the last stage! Well, I would very much prefer it if it doesn't go to the next.3-month emergency fund (Cash ISA & PBs): £4744/ £6,000

So it is quite tough going, but so glad I am off work this week. I went to a party on Sunday - and had a good dance. I was in Birmingham on Tuesday and had a lovely lunch with my daughter (also there was a bit of an OOOPS in a vintage clothes store). Today I am going to see my dad and step mum, visit a castle and have lunch.
I have a bit of a rough plan for meal planning - need to set that out some more.
