    Morning,

I have had a lovely restful holiday with my daughter in Ludlow, totally loved it, such a beautiful place. Nice food, not too much to drink, walking and yoga.

Heard from the insurance company - will say they will be covering my legal fees! This is so great. It could nearly pay off all of CC2 - that would be so incredible.

Before I went away I was reading around and found the 50/30/20 way of budgeting, was thinking as a means of moving forward from debt busting to living sustainably financially. I have been working on it - my necessities  are 53% so that is interesting and have been tweaking it. It feels like I have changed my relationship to some of my 'bills' just by doing that. Will continue to play, and see if it can work. In principle, it's an interesting idea.

Back to the debt slashing and planning though as well as the 50 before I am 50.

    Mortgage 17th of Jan 24 = £174,000
Escaping into Private Practice fund £330/£11,000 = 3%

    - 9 new recipes - have done one, back on meal planning proper next week, and will get this sorted.
    - (50 walks before I am 50) - 8 walks completed
    - Forage for food and use it!
    - Go dancing

    - Half debt gone
    - Remaining debt all on 0%

5 things are completed...still, but things have been restarted and am working towards more of this. Must do a couple of new recipes this month.

Dear diary...my goodness I have been distracted. Yet nonetheless, I have been money saving, just not writing about it and keeping track, I probably could have done better. But here we are with a major goal met.

Here is my 50 things before I am 50, very delayed and with another update due imminently.

    - Go dancing - I went to a dance a Rumba dance class.

I think I am going to start a new diary...rework my 50 before I am 50, and now that I am more than half way through the debt from when I started (with thanks to my insurance company), I am on a good trajectory and things feel different.
