Spend day for me. Started to feel a little better mid-afternoon so prepared to go into town (find my house keys, keys to get back in here, wallet, coin purse, arch supports, trainers (wellies are very muddy), cards (used for online shopping so not in the wallet), then mask and gloves. Looked up the taxi phone number online and still managed to mangle it. Second attempt successful so went from here to the side of the market (one short street away from the main shopping street.
Went in BHF shop (after a pause trying to work out the shop's customer limit - man showing people in was talking to someone and half blocking the doorway, then when he tried to usher me in 3 people came out. Found 15 books (mostly £1 each), 3 jigsaws (the 'wasigi' ones at least £10 each) and added two packs of cards. I was going to make some but I have enough things to do and I want to write letters to my cousins and one remaining uncle and send them off telling them not to send me a card. Got cash from mum's building society (she owes me some and will want money to put in cards). They didn't have suitable jumpers for me, some in my size and tried to tell myself they would do as no-one is going to see me but not prepared to wear something depressing. They did have scarves and gloves but only saw them on the way out.
Bought a few things from the fishing bird shop and carried on to pie shop for two sausage rolls and a cake (not what I wanted but limited hot items left).
Had to decide whether to go forward and get home for the spirit level or turn left for the mall and bus station (benches and seats, lots of them). Went left, hoping to check out a shop for possible slippers for mum. Sat on a bench, went in a shop for my puzzle book and some sweets including choc brazils for mum. Came out and the 'good market' shop had put the shutters down. They're reasonably priced, score highly on ethical policies and was going to look for woolies and or plush pjs. Decided the shoe shop (slippers) was too far up so crossed to the bus station, found a quiet seat and ate a sausage roll. Then went out the far end of the bus station and crossed the bypass to the taxi place. They asked if I could climb in the minibus and both the girl and reception and the driver offered to carry my bags.
Brought my washing in and put it over the radiators and moved things around so the trolley is by the gate for when the food order comes. Nothing else planned.
Thankful for finding lots of books from my favourite authors and 3 good as new jigsaws, sausage rolls (not a favourite but just right for the weather) and doing a little more sorting.

Brilliant charity shop haul @mothernerd!
NSD 2/8 today. Didn’t actually leave the house. Had a chilled out morning/early afternoon with the kids (feel a bit guilty not taking them for a walk but they did play in the garden) and prepped a veg lasagne we had for tonight’s dinner. Then at 3.30 my husband took the kids to visit his mum (we are her support bubble). I put my phone in jail in the hallway so I wouldn’t be tempted to sit down and spent the whole 2.5 hours decluttering, tidying, cleaning and organising the house which I was so pleased with. Because the kids were out I managed to declutter all the toys I don’t think are good (they don’t have loads of tat anyway as I’m a bit ruthless) so everything is tidy and minimal in advance of their birthdays and upcoming festive season. Lest I sound horrendous, most of it has only been decluttered to a large tub in my husband’s man cave/outhouse and if they desperately miss something I will return it. Anything not missed in the next 4-6 weeks will be donated.Feel like I can now sit and really relax/enjoy myself this evening as we’ve had dinner, the place is lovely and clean and my husband is bathing and putting the kids to bed tonight so my time is now my own 🙂Grateful today for having a lovely, warm cosy, clean and tidy home - it’s not the biggest, nor in the best area, but we love it and it’s perfect for us. Also grateful my kids have loving grandparents who like to spend time with them.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Today was NSD9. Tomorrow I should be in double figures!! Love the idea of you tumbling with the penguin between the bedsheets mothernerd. Glad it was a joyous experience. You should do it more often.I love it when random bits of furniture give you presents. It is like the Universe sees your struggles, and then gives you a reward. You were totally absolutely right to leave the depressing jumpers behind. So what if it fits, if you hate it? If it does not give you the same happiness as your purple pixie boots did, then kick it to the kerb and leave it there to get run over by a dustcart towing a steamroller. It is not a bargain if you will not wear it.I seem to have spent the entire day cleaning stuff, cooking stuff, cleaning stuff again, cooking more stuff and then making cups of tea. Everyone is fed (except DS1 who is currently 'awol' ) and watered and feeling fine.Gratitudes:-Figuring out my S&M internet banking! Now it is just the Shanghai bank that hates me.-The kids ate all the remaining birthday cake.- Minimal cooking tomorrow- cooked a stew for lunch, and a massive roasted vegetable traybake, so nothing is going to waste. Everything even slightly 'dodgy' was processed and cooked. Except the last of the apples. They will be crumble.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Morning everyone
Facethemusic I hope your move went well yesterday
I went for a short ride in the end yesterday, my horse was so grumpy when I first arrived so had a few minutes of thinking "shall I just go home?!" I did enjoy it in the end, although when I got home I had a massive headache which wouldn't go for several hours so I didnt get any of the jobs done that needed doing. I did do a tiny bit of online shopping for that day in December which is a bit of a load off my mind.
Off horse riding again this morning, have the school booked so we'll both have to work hard! Then I'll have to crack on with the jobs I couldn't do yesterday. Hope everyone has a good Sunday!5 -
hi everyone
Had a spendy day yesterday as did a big shop in Mr T but planning on batch cooking some soup and curry/dahl etc. Any recipe suggestions for nice veggie curry would be welcome (no mushrooms please)!
after that i went on a bike ride, went as far as my tired unathletic legs would carry meThen mowed the lawn and tidied the garden a little - hopefully no more lawn mowing required this year...
One of my tooth fillers has chipped off so will need a trip to the dentist and resultant costAlso had eyes tested the other day and decided to get some reading glasses. Not chosen yet but a work voucher paid for the eye test and will contribute towards the glasses too.
Had nice chat on the phone with DD2 and video chatting sisters later on.
gratitudes - chilled eves with DD1 and boyfriend in front of good TV; able to video chat family who i haven't seen for 7 months; a good night's sleep
Hope everyone is having a restful Sunday

Had had a very good day yesterday. Lunch in the pub a chats with various people sitting at the next table and a walk.
I spoke too soon about holiday lets. People have moved in next door and are breaking every rule and regulation there is to break. Six of them in a four person flat, obviously not from the same household, taking up other people parking spaces, etc, etc, etc. They do have a lovely little dog but it barked continually last night when they left it alone. At the moment I’m putting it down to them having just arrived and hope it will improve. You don’t know other people’s circumstances after all.
Shouldn’t really judge.
Meeting a friend and her husband tomorrow. Looking forward to that.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
Been AWOL as have worked 52 hours this week -and more to come this week - but on the plus side that's some decent money I'll be getting in November's pay for Xmas!
And my step count has been fab - at times I have been literally running around the school buildings trying to sort stuff- so glad I was wearing trainers 😄😄 So glad I don't work many hours (if any) usually - I do appreciate the fact I'm able to do that
Spent today (on more sketch3rs suitable for work, some clearance bits then reduced by a further 50% in MnS outlet and some food shopping) Havent spent on many days this week as havent been doing much other than work/eat/ sleep and doing laundry.
