Evening everybody!
Chuckling at the thought for the day. I agree 100%. I reserve housework for Spring and, besides - when anyone announces they are visiting I go into full on manic clean mode - I get loads done in a short space of time haha! Alas - with COVID visitors are nowhere to be seen so no impetus to do housework lol. I am not a slob I promise.
Congrats on adulthood F0xh0les. What's it like haha!?! As I do not have any ageing children to mark said passage into maturity, does that mean I am off the hook and can stay adolescent forever!!!??? 🤭
Good luck with the house move Facethemusic 🏡
A spend day today for some bits and pieces - planning on a NSD x 2 over the weekend 🤞🏻

Today I am grateful for being out and about walking and using the buses instead of the car, for finding several good buys in some charity shops, for having more eye contact with people when out and about as you move out of the way and people acknowledge it and say thank you, for being on half term, for hm fish + chips for tea.

Yay! A NSD today - 1/8 (as I started mid month).
Had a beautiful evening. Red (my husband) lit the new chiminea he bought himself with money he’s earned building a custom outdoor roofed seating thing for my mum (he did give me most of the money for the outdoor budget). He’s spent the last three weeks constantly in the gardening cutting, sanding, painting etc and transported it all flat packed to my mum’s today in a hire van. He still needs to actually put it up but that will be in a couple of weeks so we had a mini celebration tonight of phase one of this big project ending. Not only did the new chiminea get lit but he put out a bunch of candle lanterns too, and made us lovely chicken kebabs to eat out in front of the fire (well I made the pittas). There’s something so hypnotic about staring into flames and we don’t do it enough. We spent the whole evening out there wrapped in blankets talking. Very good for the soul 🙂
Today I’m thankful for the fact that one of my best friends lives round the corner so we went for a nice walk this morning with my children and her baby. Also thankful for our garden, the new chiminea and my lovely husband!Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Morning,
Ive been absent for a week as work is crazy and I have one more week until half term. I have managed done SFDs and been to the gym twice so happy with that.
This weekend will hopefully be quiet. We’re in the medium category but everyone we know is in the high category so won’t be seeing much of them unless it’s outdoors.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Morning all
Haven't posted for a few days as work has been very full on. Just relaxing this morning before I go horse riding. I can't really be bothered to go but it's a freebie and I always enjoy it so shouldn't complain!
Am up to 11 NSD's, which I'm really pleased with. Paid my car payment off the cc for the month of £200, waiting for an expenses payment from work and will pay that off too so that'll be another £50. Currently arguing with a travel agent and my cc company over some flights, did a s47 but it's now been reversed so the money plus interest has been put back on my card. Luckily am getting a refund from some other flights soon which will clear it but it's annoyed me, this company have been a nightmare. I'm going to appeal and see where I get.
Have loads to be getting on with this weekend but my back is really hurting. Was meant to be seeing a specialist this morning but he double booked himself so has been rescheduled. I think this is why I don't wanna go out but the fresh air and horsey time will do me good. Time for breakfast and then I'd better crack on!4 -
Out in the yard again yesterday. Still have various injuries which limit how much I can do but the window cleaner was due so I had to move stuff. Pulled the old polytunnel frame forward and started on the new one. Not sure from the diagram how some of the poles go - does the arch framework go outside or inside the poles. I would hate to have to redo it. Not sure I can do much at all today (don't want to do any long-term damage).
Have already decided I am not fit to go back to my house to collect the spirit level. I will sew whilst watching Dr Who this afternoon and a food order is coming between 8 pm and 9 pm (I caved, mum is still insisting that she is doesn't need anything - so lots of salad things, some treats and she is going to have to beg if she wants bananas or bread, probably cheese). I have been paying for the food and then reclaiming the money for the past few weeks (and she still owes me). Need to decide on food for today, do a bit of preparation for tomorrow and may bake a cake (trying to do some fun tasks each day, like planting bulbs for spring).
Mum's curtains are up, her pills came, mine are ordered, the shower got cleaned, a lot has happened in the yard - I deserve some fun.
Thankful for reasonable weather (feel guilty about not getting out there and doing something), enough food (oh the joy when I found a single penguin biscuit in the muddle caused by dragging two sheets off the bed - well the muddle was there already but it got tumbled) and tap water (mum's is horrible so have just filled the filter jug and put it in the fridge to make it tolerable). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6
