Thursday- NSD 9/15. Yesterday was house deposit pay day 😱. My current account balance looked very healthy for a couple of hours 🤣. Also bought some veg for the bunnies and milk. Will have to do a HUGE shop once we move as I've been fairly successful at using up everything in the cupboards and freezer. Today was NSD, but tomorrow wont be as I need to buy some supplies so I can provide lunch for the people helping me move- won't be fancy but just stuff to make some sandwiches. Am surrounded by boxes and think we are ready to shift some boxes tomorrow, then properly move on Saturday- am very excited.
Everything else has gone out the window this week- dog has had walks but they have been short and I've done no other exercise so I'm not even looking at my weekly step total so far as I know it will be rubbish compared to normal (I have been averaging over 20000 steps a day).
Ditty- I'm definitely not as experienced at stretching money as some people here, but if you search your freezer and cupboards you will almost certainly be able to feed the household for at least a couple of days without spending anything. Pasta is your friend for cheap and filling meals. I would also second the comments above about soup and the odd vegetarian day. Good luck!

Hi Thanks for all of your lovely £3 a day suggestions I have most staples so just need vege and other bits, so I think we will be OK, (otherwise I will dig into my cash stashes) I'm just trying not to make my pothole a downward slope. I already bought the butternut probably will magically turn into a risotto on Saturday or similar. I am just thinking OMG I am so lucky I have £30 and an fairly stocked fridge, and lucky to have such brilliant advice.
And finally going back to work tomorrow. Am actually looking forwards to it.

If you have a bag of rice already, then biryani and chinese style veg fried rice are cheap and filling boy food.

Morning everyone
Sorry for lack of posting. Work has been very busy but i am on leave now for 10 daysI have to do some work for my self employment role this morning and catch up on my PT role but aiming to have some days off too.
Ditty1234 - we love butternut squash risotto chez Deni !
I'm at NSD 4/15. I've also sold some items on Bay of E which helps with money and decluttering. Yesterday was annoying as i had loads of work to finish before my leave but i got a call from the estate agents saying i had a house viewer. I took a long lunch to do a clean and tidy and then left (estate agent does viewings) but when i got home i found that the viewer hadn't showed up! Anyone someone else is viewing on Saturday so i just need to keep tidy for another day...
I've been really tired this week so going to bed early and having lots of sleep. Also managed one exercise class and one pilates class.
Gratitudes - friend who came round just in time to help me fix my dishwasher; chill time with DD1 and her boyfriend rewatching Line of Duty; good books (always preferable to housework mothernerd
Keep safe and well everyone

Even now, as broken as you feel, you are still so strong. There's something to be said for how you hold yourself together and keep moving, even though you feel like shattering. Don't stop. This is your healing. It doesn't have to be pretty or graceful. You just have to keep going.

Had a lovely day yesterday. A girl we’ve become friendly with since we started holidaying here came to meet us in the pub for a coffee and a chat. They are very good here at seating people at adjacent tables so they can talk but still obey the rules and keep the requisite distance away from one another.
Having to start winding down the food supply so there’s not too much left over. Think I can manage it.
I’m going to have to find a recipe for butternut squash risotto. Everyone here seems to love it.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.10 -

Not been about much, but have been turtling none the less.
Another NSD yesterday. And I have realised that I plan too much in the food planning, the food lasts longer than I think it will. So I need to cut back on the planning, and that will mean i will spend less, and waste less.3-month emergency fund (Cash ISA & PBs): £4744/ £6,000
