    No spends today :) DH and DD had steak pie for dinner using YS puff pastry from the freezer, smalls had their usual and I had chicken and green veg and garlic butter :) 8 pears from the garden poached in red wine, oj and spices for adult desserts.

    Lunches for smalls and myself prepped for most of the week and tubbed/ frozen as appropriate.

    Friends visited us today ahead of DH's bday later this week in case we get locked down by Boris. Social distance chatting for a couple of hours - thankfully a mild day :) DH briefly said hello outside and then disappeared as he is still in isolation from the NHS app alert until midnight on Weds...

    Gratitudes - mild weather, good friends, easy food

    Good evening all

    Had a busy few days trying to fit in parents and work and keeping myself afloat. Managed to meal prep today and get a bit ahead for the week ahead and clocked up Friday and Saturday as NSDs.

    Today = NSD number 6

    Step count failed on a few days so will try and get it up so the week's/month's average is over 7K. Almost trashed a pair of lovely white trainers on a forest walk. Took a wrong turn and got a bit lost and ended up ankle deep in mud! Then ended up shelling out cash on trainer cleaner. Luckily I managed to get them pretty much clean so disaster averted. Have now splurged more cash on some wellies so I can walk wherever I want and not worry anymore! Yippee!!!

    Re-organised my budget (Edit number 183871283) but looking good.

    Q) What is a reasonable amount to give a niece for an 18th? I haven't ever really done Birthdays (they get spoiled and I wanted to give something bigger for 18th that they'd use for something productive, like driving lessons). Plus always been in debt and/or saving for mortgage deposit. I am still in debt but am more settled now, and want to give something and make up for a bit of lost time. How much is 'enough' without seeming stingy... Honest thoughts... Thanks in advance x

    Have a good night folk x
