NST October The Turtles Go Outward Bound

Sorry I went missing again. Sunday I did a few things including paying the tax credit overpayment. My finances are in better shape than I expected but still need to start saving for roof repairs and a replacement kitchen (or adjustments to). Ordered several things off the miscellaneous list but forgot insulating curtain liners for my room. I've also forgotten to do a repeat prescription order and haven't been able to get through on the phone. Not critical yet, can juggle 50mg and 100mg tablets at a push (take 3 x 50mg or cut a few 100 mg in half).
Yesterday I felt unwell, think I am going down with flu. Took something to the bin and had to stay holding onto the bin for 5 minutes before coming back and had to sit on the couch as a mid point between the bed and my armchair. In the afternoon I curled up in bed with a book and put my mask on - fell asleep for several hours.
Not great today but it's not raining so have tried to sort the yard as I might be worse tomorrow. So have moved the polytunnel frame to where I want it to be. Very long process as there were some containers in the way which were too heavy to move so had to find alternative containers, transfer soil and plants into them until the large containers could be shoved around. Tried to put the cover on but it was getting rainy and windy so gave up - rain started to bucket down by the time I got indoors. Had a shower, washed my hair and scrubbed my nails 3 times.
I've told mum to decide when I should buy more food as she has complained so much - told her she will run out of bananas first.
Grateful for getting things done (and for lots of rests, sitting down as often as possible and using the dolly to move things (spaces round the frame are all measured to accommodate the dolly truck - when the cover is on I will trundle the containers along to secure it. Grateful for the last 4 bottles of fizzy water brought from the shed (my version of champagne) and easy food.

I have also decided to appropriate a method of dealing with unpleasant 'frogs' so I will make 3 envelopes a 10 min one a 30 min one and a one hour one, and then I will write all my frog chores on a little note and then I can pick - depending on how long I have!
I am trying to look at time management! And I am terrible at it, how long will it take to set up this project! I have just had it with little pieces of paper with lists on them! I need a new day, a fresh pile and a happy face :-)
I'm up to 9 NSD's so far which I'm super happy with! Work continues to be busy so keeps me out of trouble. I do need to buy a few bits for the house (kitchen cupboard storage) and some door handles for the cupboards too just to brighten things up, but will wait until the weekend. Have put some money aside as I have a haircut booked at the end of the month. Everything is looking ok money wise.7 -

Evening everyone!
Thanks F0xh0les. Maybe it's just mine that seem mercenary haha! Great advice though.
Welcome to the thread Bluegreen123 - it is always nice to have new people onboard. Definitely come join the gang for December! A post normally goes up end of the month so just add your name and away you go.
Good day today - got in a walk, gym, bit of a food shop and a bit of chill out time gaming. Booked in at opticians tomorrow for long overdue eye test. May not be an NSD depending on how well/badly it goes! Does anyone ever come out from an eye test without a new prescription?!? I am so cynical lol. Like dentists. Haha. How else do they make their money lol.

Today I am grateful for working through what I needed to do to find out what my work pension will (should? might?) be, for ideas on how to plug the gap and time to implement them, for getting a total of 1 pair of trousers + 4 school shirts ironed (
), for our lovely gutters doing their job, for our lovely boiler doing its job, for a quick evening walk while dd skateboarded.

Tuesday- NSD 8/15! Tomorrow is a big SD as I transfer the deposit for the new house 😱😱😱😱. Very excited but absolutely terrified at the same time- I may be in my 40's with a DD but buying a house seems like a very "adulty" thing to be doing! Packing mostly going OK. Have run out of boxes- luckily house is very close to where I currently live and the rent is paid until the end of the month so I can move the bulk of the stuff over the weekend and sort the remainder out next week.
Minimal exercise occurring just now, no spare time to relax or do very much of anything- will hopefully get back to some routine once this weekend is done.9 -
lots of love to poorly turtles and welcome to bluegreen143
I’ve been absent for a couple of days but still swimming.
on NSD 6
I really need to start spending my time more wisely. I only work around 16 hours a week at the moment and I don’t know where my time goes. I need more focus. The tree app thing sounds great I might give that a go!
Also have been looking at some old threads on here for cutting the shop budget. we're not doing too badly but meal planning definitely has room for improvement.
Grateful for being able to have brekkie with my bf, for my sis having a good first day in her new job as art technician in a secondary.
