Valli... Happy 60th Birthday!!! You fabulous wise thing!! I will have cocopops for breakfast please.. and a steaming cuppa.. happy days!
New carpet washer bought.. my living room is smelling very bad.. eau de shkitten hit me like a hammer when I came down this morning.. so that will be dealt with next week.
Lots of washing is hung up to dry and lots more to actually wash. I want to get the winter coats done this weekend because they are absolutely needed at the moment. I remembered I own some waterproof timberland hiking boots yesterday so I have warm dry tootsies!

Round 2 done.
I have also dusted all manner of dusty bits in the bedroom including pulling the bed out and hoovering behind it. That is not easy as the castors have broken! I need a new bed!! I have stopped for a cuppa, then I am going to tackle a bag or box to sort. There are 4 bags & 3 boxes. The boxes are wooden and haven't been looked at for donkey's years! I do need to get outside in the fresh air, so I might see if I can fill a bag for the CS8 -
Thank you Kaz, house hoovered, stuff sprayed and appointment booked for Monday. Bedding changed also. Lunch now x8

Yay... I now have a ceiling above the stairs 🙂
Builder just finished it... Now just have to wait for the decorators to come next week to paint it and the walls. Then I can have my house back, as well as my living room free of loft stuff and bits. I should be less twitchy by then and may actually be able to lift and move things without being in pain still.🙂Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Hi all
Exercise class done, oven cleaned, washing put through tumbler, kitchen cupboard tops wiped down, clean washing put away, tin cupboard tidied and an inventory of stores made. I feel like I might need a little snooze now, just sitting down with a brew and my book.8 -
Took advantage of having my friend's 19 year old son here and did 2 trips to the tip with the trailer. He helped get loads of the big and heavy stuff out of the cellar. What's left is really quite managable by OH and me. OH then took loads of bottles to bottle bank (we found them in the cellar, sadly empty) and did a load of cutting back in the garden and took that to the green tip. I feel some real progress has been made, loads and loads more still to go.
DD1 has come home for the afternoon/evening but has gone out with OH to look for an external battery pack, I've stayed at home to turn her laundry round and start making a duck confit shepherds pie for dinner.
Time for another cup of tea and might even put the pellet stove on as it's horribly cold and windy here, heavy rain forecast again tomorrow.

I’ve done far more than I intended to today. We’ve had a massive autumn 🍂 walk in the woods, I've now lit the wood-burner and will be having a wine very soon x7

I did a couple of hours digging and weeding at the allotment in a very brisk and chilly wind. It cleared my head even if it didn’t switch my mind off from working overtime. Kicked my way back through fallen conkers and leaves, so I hope no one was watching!
Kitchen tidied, dahlias in vases replenished from the allotment, QHI. DD picked up from work, and used the trip as an opportune time to get my watch battery changed at the jewellers in small town. I love having a DD who works in a bakery - she brought me home some left over lardy cake 😇, scoffed with a cuppa.
I have to fillet some fish for dinner now as DH got carried away at the fish counter yesterday. Quite fancy just curling up and falling asleep tbh.7
