Happy Birthday Valli, hope you manage to celebrate in some way in these strange times x
Great news on the referrals Pigpen and I agree with you. I actually think the whole situation at the moment is a complete mess. I was getting annoyed at this women on the radio criticising students, yet the government has encouraged them to go back because Universities will collapse without the £9k a year they are paying for a bit of online teaching, and the economy needs students to go out and spend their student loans in shops, cafes and pubs. Now the Universities are having to try and support hundreds of students in halls who have Covid, or need to self isolate.
Anyway, all is well here. DS1 has gone away for a few days with his GF, they are hiking in a remote part of the Lake District, have heard nothing about his blood tests so assuming that's good news.
I want to do a bit of flying today, but taking it steady, DH is going to work. Supposed to be cycling with my ladies cycling group tomorrow, first time this year, but its supposed to be very windy. We will see.
Take it easy Natty, sounds like you were lucky not to have done yourself some serious damage!9 -
Lol I just spilled a full cup of coffee in my bedroom. A towel was rapidly deployed (bedside cabinet) buy I'm going to have to get the steam cleaner on the carpet...so much for no flying! WM x 1.
Kettle is on, coffee brewing and champagne chilling. Breakfast will be imminent!

Good morning!
Happy birthday Valli 🎂🎉 I hope you have an amazing day. When this is all over I think we will have a full year of celebrations to make up for the ones missed this year. What a year that will be! 😂 All this talk of breakfast is making me hungry! I got up to feed the dog and got back into bed with a cuppa, but i really need to start moving now!
Round 1
Get up & dressed
Breakfast
Empty DW
Put on WM
Ok - off I go! Have a good day everyone 😁7 -
How can one person have worn that much underwear since Monday???? And I'm not talking about myself or DS lol No wonder the laundry hamper was overflowing! Maybe it's a girl thing? Never mind - hamper is now empty, WM is swishing lots of underwear, and the rest of the washing is queued up nicely waiting for its turn to swish.
DS has arrived home - no work to do again. Good thing he has a job with a regular wage lined up for next week!
Round 1 =
feed the birds
put out rubbish / replace bin bags
put out recycling
breakfast
Baby steps today.

DD dropped at work. DH is cutting the hedge. I’m having a restorative coffee then I think I had better wrap up and see what the state of play is at the allotment. DH has an appointment to drop off 3 bags of books at the cs later - no more, no less, arrive in your allotted time. Strange times. But 3 bags out of the house, hopefully.

Poppet still unwell so a bit of cleaning has been done there. Dailies are done and breakfast eaten.Spend less now, work less later.7
-
Round 1 complete.
Round 2
Wash up saucepan & stone from yesterday
Put washing in TD
I am then going to get back to the bedroom. I want it looking less cluttered & sparkly by the time DH gets home! They are on their way, so I have a few hours. I woukd also like to take a couple of bags to the CS and pop to allotment to pick the 2 huge butternut squashes before they get ruined by frost! I will check the forecast, as I may be able to do that tomorrow.
Is it wrong that I am not looking forward to DH & DS getting home? I have missed them. I realise I talk to myself far too much! 😂 But they are going to dump all the camping gear, the wet tent, the washing..... etc in the nice tidy house! (well, tidyish!)7 -
The Vallikids have bought me a new TV! No more squinting at a flickering screen! *blessed*Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Fly lady help needed, the dog is still itching despite having her flea treatment and now I have a few bites. The treatment I gave her was meant to kill all nasties so I have no idea what is going on. Can anybody help? X8

ASB my cat used to have frontline for flees etc, but it didn't work on him, so he has to have something else from the vets that does work, maybe your dog needs something else, could be worth a phone call to the vet on Monday. Mean while I suggest you hoover the house well, and then get stuff you put on the carpets to kill the eggs off.Cat vomit cleaned up yukShopping doneTrees down all over the place, general advise is don't go out unless you have to, because of the high winds etc.OH and I are having an indoors picnic this lunch time.................Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
