I have checked my defence and witness statemets and no where does it state I actually used the internet, although I will have done, its merely their accusation in their WS.0 -

Anoonymouse said:So latest update.I received an email from them seeking costs in court for "unreasonable behaviour" they cited in their witenss statement that I c&p info from internet in my defence statement.,What I stated was I sought assitance from the internet in addition to legal help which I think is perfectly acceptable. Their fees total over a thousand pounds with VAT! Obvously worrying.
Their fees are for wok carried out ,surely they should have mentioned this earlier also.0 -
I wouldn't be consumed with their 'you've used the internet' nonsense. As one Judge said when they threw in this line, 'So what'? The internet is but an information source; in days of yore, you'd have been down the local library reading up on the issues. It's no different. What would they have said? 'The Defendant has spent time looking up his references in library books, so his case should be dismissed'?
Load of bowlocks! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Why is it worrying? you know from readin ghis trhread, and with reference to CPR27.14(2)(g) that they have no chance ofg getting those costs, as getting help online for a defence is not unreasonable.3

I write in respect of the above matter (case number etc redacted)
As stated within the Claimant’s witness statements, the Defendant’s use of an internet template defence is unreasonable behaviour. I attach by way of service the Claimant’s statement of costs which will be relied upon at the forthcoming small claims hearing. The Claimant will be seeking costs due to the Defendant’s unreasonable behaviour.
The Defendant has been attached to this email by way of service.
Kind regards,
