Believe me, he will have seen it and heard it before (and worse!). Might not feel like it right now, but she will get over it. You're both responsible for the finances of your family (she's responsible for family spending even if you're the only one that tracks it). I've tried to make my husband realise this...I might be better at maths and spreadsheets, but he still needs to understand where our money goes. Best of luck with it all, I'm sure there will be bumps along the way, but keep your goal in mind and you will get there.alt80 said:Seen my accountant didn’t really tell me much more than I already knew re business tax / Range Rover. Good afternoon all,
A productive start to the day until rain stopped play at lunchtime... but we did make a start at least..
in the way of small things..
Washed a load and pegged out to dry (didn't fully dry before the unexpected rain)
Made boys packed lunches for tomorrow ( @determined_new_ms ) I always struggled with the packed lunches but since they were home for lockdown they ate far more variety at lunchtimes so we've just carried that on.
I finished off last nights stroganoff with a piece of bread for dipping for my lunch.
Swept the drive (lots of leaves already off the trees) - garden waste is collected tomorrow so wanted to make the most of it!
Was due to have a mr t collection for tomorrow but have postponed it as nothing is needed urgently so changed it.
Sorted out £1.50 veg box from lidl that my dad brought me this morning, was great and included a bunch of flowers today
Thats about it, take care all.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Yesterday was very busy as the children's training in a nearby city resumed yesterday after a local lockdown. The time has been changed and there is a break for cleaning between sessions so I am now sitting outside for longer than earlier in the year. We will need to change how we do things and see what we can do on Sunday to make Mondays work better as yesterday was hard work.
I did manage to:
Home educated the children
Took packed lunch and water to training
Recorded spends
BLD from stores
Dry the laundry outside on the line
Pmp etc
Process the latest windfalls
Pick tasty apples for lunch
Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases
One income, home educating family4 -

This week I would like to, all rolled over from last week:
Rearrange dd bedroom furniture ✔️ we have moved some of the furniture but dd needs to do more decluttering before the rest is in its new position - this will be on next weeks list
Rearrange kitchen shelves, this is dependant on finding the right free boxes when I go shopping ✔️ some progress has happened, I wasn't able to get the type of box I was hoping for but I did manage to get 1 similar, more boxes are needed

That's a good view for a bit more responsibility on both - she does need to understand. I will show her the spreadsheets and go through what's happening and why we need to do this.
Rubbish day today and unproductive after the meeting but onwards and upwards for tomorrow I think.7 -
Morning
my tooth is a lot better, it's just a temporary solution until I get the appt at the sedation clinic. I rant the risk that it wouldn't help at all and I would still be in pain, but thankfully it's ok, a little niggly but nothing like the world of agony it was...
Today:
* take dog for walk
* do an hour's prep in the kitchen. Think this will be it for the sanding
* TOMM - not doing as well this week....
* a couple of hours sewing - just need to add bust darts to the sweatshirt I've made
* dinner will be spag in the pressure cooker
* water greenhouse veggies
* go grocery shopping. This will be when oh gets home as I'e lost my keys! (hoping they are in his car or turn up while I'm sorting out the house)
* make madam's pack up using meal plan
* get up in the loft
* maybe play a board game with madam after school. We are severely limiting her screen time to 1 hour a day....
* might make some more marrow & ginger jam as dil loved it. Think I'll give it to him for xmas
* carry on knitting sock
ok that will do

Morning folks
WFH today but not really a saving in petrol as we had to drive there and back this morning due to a lack of organisation on my part (ooops)
Good gym session this morning as managed a sub 8 min run (I only have short chunky legs anyway!) and my dedlift has jumped up by 7.5kg so moving back towards my old lifts (only about 7.5kg under now!)
Today's small things:
B/L/D from stores
Check PMP
Reconcile budget sheet for EoM
Nip up to allotment after work?
Have a good one all

Picked up the phone to initiate the voluntary termination but put the phone down before speaking to someone. I know it needs to be done soon. So was going to be a big step in the right direction but didn't manage it.
