Alt Google Independent Cobblers and I think you will find some in the suburbs, make a note of them put your shoes in the car boot and when you are in the right area call in and ask them what they can do with the shoes. If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.2

I have a bit of shoe habit, the brand isn't generally that practical but is very quirky and pretty. Currently upto pair number 14. One of my first pairs were starting to go a bit thin on the sole and the heel wasn't great. Cost me £15.99 to be re-heeled and soled at our local cobblers. Would have cost me £120 to replace with a similar design.
Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
Make £2024 in 2024...2 -
I used to be a shoe person and will still love to be but thanks to my hospital refusing to plaster a broken bone because it want bad enough I now have a mis shapen foot and despite physio walk really badly so am limited to flat lace ups. I miss my heels.1

Will see if cobbler can do anything with them - feel it’s doubtful. Tbf actually can’t see where the dog has chewed when wearing them so could get away with just wearing them lol. Have considered it but if I ever have to take them off would be embarrassing haha.I’ve bought plenty of pairs of shoes for wife over the years. Last pair were some YSL heels £800 and she’s wore them once, don’t really go out out that much anymore and not really appropriate for a walk to the pub and back. Plus to everything I suppose... stop spending money I don’t have and stop looking like a shoe fetishist buying stuff for her on my own ha.2

She could sell them.2

@ladyholly for about £350/400 not really worth it tbf and I’m sure she will wear them again when the right occasion presents itself. She likes the shoes just completely inappropriate for most occasions.1

I have been getting rid of my heels over the past few months. Have quite a few bought for around £150 that have been popular. However l never wear heels. Even if we go out getting dressed up isn't really a thing anymore. No point in taking up wardrobe space either.

Fair enough. So wish I could wear fancy shoes but I would just lurch to one side doing an imitation of the hunchback of notre dame and then fall over. Not a good look.1

Tomorrow is the last day before budget reset. Wife spent £70 today from entertainment. Thinking trying to meet £250 budget for it is going to be ok if we’re tier 3 next week but unrealistic going forwards once out of lockdown so will need to review. Looking like last of spends for this month as we aren’t doing anything involving spending tomorrow - I’m working mainly. Early dinner outside at in-laws (they’ve bought a patio heater haha). Tbf think I probably owe them an apology for losing it last week, I wasn’t in a good place and am a bit embarrassed about it now.
£3250 less spent than last month according to Yolt so big step towards living within my income.
Had another enquiry on watch... not getting my hopes up too much this time haha.
@DayDreamerandGeneralWaster we don’t really want to sell all our clothes / shoes we don’t wear often. I get a fair amount could be raised as we don’t buy cheap, throwaway clothing. Don’t go out very often nowadays but still nice to get dressed up when we do tbh.
@ladyholly oh dear hope you get well soon and can be back in your heels soon.3
