My grandfather always used say 'It's always darkest just before the dawn'. Find myself agreeing; @alt80 you are doing fabulously. When I moved from living in a bit of fantasy world (sunny hat always on!) to reality, I had this too; it got better as I accepted that this is how it is. Feet on the ground will never be as hysterically exciting as the other stuff but it is so much better -for your physical and mental health and finances. Congratulations on deciding to make reality your permanent element. Love Humdinger x4

How many days @alt802

Thanks all, on day 271 today, first of the month and finally feel able to have a real look at the figures - don’t need to do much as it’s ticking away and have an idea there or thereabouts. Wife has decided she’s getting rid of a few things I’m quite glad about some worth quite a bit some not and tbf not really about money.Had a look round my garden - starting to see some signs of spring now. Been a nice morning but looking forward to hopefully getting a bit of warmer sun soon. Not going to say this weekend has been easy tbh it’s not been bad and we had a relaxing time but what’s going on in Ukraine is on my mind quite a lot and tbh still just struggling generally. However, getting out of bed, doing well on the business front and keeping away from the really destructive stuff.8

@alt80 fab to hear from you! Well done; yes I agree news from abroad is dark but you are doing brilliantly with the stuff that's in your control. Can you imagine how you'd have got on pre-lightbulb?! Good news re your wife too. Keep going we're all devoted to you and are thrilled by your stance ! Love Humdinger x3

Alt Lidl have seeds in stock now, so start looking for what you want to grow.
No use worrying about Ukraine, there is nothing you can do about it.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.2 -

Day 271 is an amazing achievement. You should be proud of that.
Good to see that the wife is getting back on board with the plan as well and is making an effort to sell some stuff.
Which does remind me we have some more boat gear that needs selling and I will have another look around the house and see what we can sell on. I enjoyed the last flurry that we had1 -
Thanks all; calendar has switched to 'mindful March' and today's action was to 'set an intention to live with awareness and kindness'. Seems like a big intention tbh and not something that can be done all the time maybe more something we can aim for though. Idk lot the world could learn from trying to live by the cal ha.
Still need to sit down and make sure my estimated figures for card balances are correct.
@Grumpelstiltskin looking forward to enjoying the garden this spring and have first BBQ planned for some time over Easter weekend.
@RelievedSheff I am tbh, half amazed tbf but I am proud of getting to where I am rn.
My wife is really struggling with things tbh realises she's stuck with me tbf haha.
Good luck with the boat stuff I seem to recall you did really well with it last time.2 -

Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x1 -
Maybe it’s time for her to look at that tennis club membership she fancied again? A change of focus and could be just what she needs.2
