Thanks all. Unfortunately I’m not doing great and I’m sure you don’t all want to have me on here whining everyday. Been working too much tbf - try to take my mind off things. Been going to work, come home and go to bed, generally that’s it - know it’s stupid and doesn’t do anyone any good but been a difficult time and tbh better to work than other self destructive stuff. Can’t say I’ve seen it as self destructive in the moment but it is and I know that.
Did manage to get out over half term one day with my family, also took son’s friend and his parents out. Kids loved it tbh it wasn’t so bad for my wife and I either. They were off for the half term and had son a few days which was great for him to be with his best mate and having fun. Their kid often comes to ours whilst they are working so was nice of them to return the favour.
Coming to month end on the finances. Things don’t feel exactly amazing - we’ve booked all our trips away for the coming year now and whilst all accounted for I’m having a lot of trouble seeing that rn. Tbh I’m just really finding it difficult to find the positive in anything beyond somehow seeing record breaking figures again business wise even that I’m not exactly even buzzed about.

Good to hear from you again Alt. Thanks for updating us, which must have taken some effort but it's really appreciated.
I think after all the amazing progress made so far, there will be times when progress seems slow and money paid out for time away has yet to show returns, and that's dispiriting. I can understand that. Keep plodding onward, though, because the sun will shine again and one day you will feel it again.
It sounds as though things are going very well at work, which is great. While it's not giving you a buzz, I hope there's some comfort in knowing you are providing jobs and homes for others.
Remember we are cheering from the side lines.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Hi @alt80 actually I do check in each day to see how you’re doing and worry when you’re not here so yes, please do keep posting.
Great news that you all enjoyed the day out over half term and even greater news that you’ve managed to stay away from drugs and alcohol. That gives you a good springboard to get back on track with your mental health.
Now to get back to the good routines that you had developed - dog walk and bedtime 3-5 times a week and cooking at least once, a proper lunch break and some outside time every day.
Keep going! It will come together once the springtime is properly here.

Sorry to hear you are struggling.
A lot find the slog stage of debt busting difficult.
It is in some way a sign that you are on the right track as your budget is just working.
Having a lot of future spends planned and prepaid might make todays numbers not look that great but the 12m forecast should still be on track.
The early days of planning and going through the numbers can be very motivating but there is only so much you can do.
If the business numbers are still improving remember the focus there needs to managing and planning not getting back to doing all the work.
Looks like this growth is sustainable that's a good thing and more consistent than the crazy project approach.
The weather should start improving maybe try to plan some trip or and extra day out.
Pencil in an outing with MG mate if a day turns good or just go out for dinner.
Easter holidays are not that far away time to plan some time off work and doing things with family.
Good to hear your day out with sons best mate family went ok.
Letting people back into your life is very positive.
As said things seem to be a lot better when you have the routine and things planned get back to school schedule it work.

Good to hear from you, people on here definitely care and want to hear from you in good times and bad!
Things will get better and you’re doing great but when feeling low it’s impossible to see that for yourself.2 -
Thanx for posting Alt you have lots of friends on here cheering you on. take care, stay safe.

Good to hear from you. People worry when we dont hear from you and if "whining" on here helps then carry on and do it. I dont think anyone would mind. Spring is on its way with better weather (at least the rain should be warmer) and the days are getting longer which may well help.Try to spend some time with your wife and son as it seems to perk you up a bit and they need you.Good that business is doing well and that finances are on track. Keep going and things will improve mentally.3
