@JGB1955 thank you.
I think we’d have to make a weekend of it; it’s a really long way and tbh I’m not driving much rn might feel a bit more like it in the summer and my mate has some things planned which he wants my family to turn up to after all we have his car ha but generally time with my other mate really spoilt cars for me and tbh I’m hanging onto the little car for my wife and son who are both really enjoying having it. Tbt left to me rn I think I’d just run the electric car for work and forget about the lot. Maybe just how I am rn, hope that’s the case anyway.1 -
You're doing a great job at working through the addiction with your current struggles, would have been easy to relapse. Well done you, really well done.
Not sure what your plans are for this weekend, but England are playing in the 6 nations against Italy, so maybe do a fun lunch or dinner themed around Italy? Could keep it really simple if tired and just do pizzas and ice cream but be something fin and easy to do with your boy.Current mortgage (1 Jun 2022): £289,501 - originally £351,999 got to love London sized mortgages!
OP Goal 2022 = 3.75% in OPs: £6,975 / £13,200
Emergency Fund Target: 3 months saved ✅

@alt80 remember you’re at your best when you have plans made and things to look forward to. You’ve very successfully stopped the crazy spends, now you just need to re-learn how to enjoy the moderate spends on experiences with your family, particularly your son. It’s half term soon…3

Looking forward to the rugby and will be spending Sunday running up and down to the tip with a pile of bathroom and garden debris - fun fun fun!!I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine2 -
Hopefully you are getting more settled,
Weekend of rugby seemed to help previously.
My dodgy sleep patterns have been filled with Olympics, always try Superbowl but end up falling asleep
Interesting program on BBC this week about Instagram.

Hi Alt, hope you have all had a good weekend and are feeling rested.1

Thanks all, I’m not doing so great tbh. Have managed to watch the rugby with my family and did get out for lunch yesterday but other than that I’m not in a great place. Just about managing to get out of bed and work but other than that I’m struggling to speak to anyone, write on here or anything else tbh.

That sounds very tough Alt. I hope things pick up soon for you, if you can manage to speak to the pros a bit it might help but I appreciate there are times when speaking to anyone is the last thing you want to do.
Getting up and going to work are both real positives, though, as are getting out for lunch and watching the rugby with your family. They all show you are stronger than your problems. Hang on there, this won't last and remember you have a lot of friends here.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Hopefully with the lighter evenings coming and spring on it's way things will become easier for you.
You are doing great. Just keep telling yourself this.3
