Blakeney in North Norfolk is a great place to see the seals.
Your milk float should make it there 🙃0 -
😂 the milk float would love Wales. Yes, I’ve heard they’re at Llandudno but have never seen them. Would love to one day.
It’s all positive things. You’re growing both as a person and In mindset. It’s impossible to change everything overnight.

You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x0 -
It feels like your changes have accelerated since you went on holiday @alt80
One of my friends lives in Norfolk and sent me some pictures of the seals - she is doing some kind of volunteer patrol to keep the sightseers behaving. I confess to ignorance about seal viewing, never knew we had so many and will probably do a trip next year.1 -
We have been quite lucky over the years and have had several up close and personal experiences with seals while we have been on the boat. Most notably while anchored up in Blakeney Bay and again at anchor in the Wash estuary.
More recently though we saw them playing in the harbour at Staffin on the Isle of Skye right in front of the van
They are amazing to watch. So agile in the water yet so cumbersome on land.2 -
I want to see baby seals now, is there anywhere close to the south west or south Wales I could see them?Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

Day 187
Not much to say tbh sticking to financial forecasts are not difficult rn I have my head in the right place and my Mrs is on board. I can see why she used to just say !!!!!! it quite a lot and tbh it's taken her a long time to trust I'm serious about my recovery can't blame her for that really I've said I'm done with it plenty of times in the past.
@RelievedSheff it's 114 miles away from NG3, in the winter there and back is an ask on a charge lol. Might be a better bet than hoping there's a Land Rover dealer on route though fml it chooses it's !!!!!! moments can tell you that.
Re seals on the boat must have been absolutely amazing mate. Not going to lie reading about your adventures made me think there's a lot of life outside NG. My wife and I have started planning some trips for next year, not expensive holidays all about her photos etc just days out/ weekends alongside going to visit my parents.
@Willowtree222 100% mate thank you. Hope you and your little girl looking forward to Christmas, I've not managed to make much time for reading on here putting my time into work/ family etc rn so not caught up with yours.
I do have a trip planned out to take my boy to Anglesey probably be an overnighter though it's a long way but I think he'd like to see some of the scenery in north wales and I think he'd like the bridges onto the island.
@warby68 must have been my dad telling me not to be a !!!!!! and lose all the progress made lol tbf I have seen another side to life. Still like my work always will I think and I do want to be successful in business and successful financially, not turned into some saint I can 100% guarantee that one mate lol but I'm really working on the stuff I needed to work on to improve my life and good riddance to my addiction all being well for good.
You should def do a trip just not in that X6 lol, only kidding.
@annabanana82 / @Grumpelstiltskin my son would love to see sharks in the wild - Cornwall def too far for a day though have fun @annabanana82.1 -
Had a terrible nights sleep and early morning full of some really !!!!!! horrible dark thoughts. Knew where my thought patterns were going and have managed to see it for what it is, tbf I know I won’t go down the road I used to but it’s difficult me reminding myself of it and trying to pull back from the thoughts I sometimes have especially when the sleep has been practically restless. My wife said to me I have come a long way not turning to the stuff to get through the day, coming back with things for her and just being weird. She’s right I don’t ever want to go back to that. Christmas I’ve mixed feelings about tbh plenty to enjoy with a boy my son’s age but a lot of reminders people going out everywhere you look what are you buying your loved ones etc. wife has been off IG since Black Friday tbf got quite upset seeing they are all either selling something or just showing off. Both of us are winging it this Christmas but def holding onto last weekend.1

You are both doing fantastically and are starting to see IG and social media for what it really is. This is a massive leap forward for your wife.
Enjoy your family Christmas for what it is. Time to chill out and relax with your family.3 -
Well done to you and your wife for both staying away from the destructive stuff. The bad thoughts won’t go away overnight but I reckon there will come a time in the not too distant future when all this will be just a memory. I obviously mix with different people as no one asks here what are we buying. We talk about places with Christmas themes we are visiting (Eden project was wonderful btw) and who is visiting for Christmas but our spending is mainly on the grandchildren although we do gift money to our adult children (plus a few token presents from their wish list) and a few token presents for each other (DH and I). More often than not we will buy something for the house together or put money in the holiday fund. The older you get the less you will want or need things.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
