I am so pleased you are at 6m - a rocky road but you've done it, worrying me with some wobbles but coming good, and now continuing to make rapid progress building a different life for all of you. The changes are massive and I agree with RS, the debt is a bit of a side issue to the rest. A little bit of a slower timetable on that is not really an issue. The different behaviours, priorities and choices are. The debt reduction will follow.
I really would not have guessed this time last year you would be where you are. I hoped you would because I'm a sucker for young, happy families but if I'm honest I didn't think the odds were great. You beating them is fantastic and a credit to you.
Here's to 12 months next. Keep going @alt804 -
Congratulations Alt, fantastic achievement.I agree with the others, you’ve made so much progress in other areas that the balances seem irrelevant right now. You’ll get there with them though just don’t pressure yourself now.September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.

6 months, fantastic. Just shows what can be achieved if you put your mind to it. Congratulations 👏I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Congratulations on 6 months. An amazing achievement when you look back to the start of your diary, not just the drugs, debts and alcohol but the change of mindset. I am sure you and your family are in for an amazing 2022.

Six months is amazing. You've made so many changes and adjustments to your thoughts and thinking processes; it's a pleasure these days to read posts and I could not have said that six or seven months ago. It's a great achievement, hope you are very pleased and others recognise the effort this change has taken.3

Thank you all.In-laws took my family and out for a meal really enjoyed it, actually was great food but I’m not used to eating massive quantities of food so not feeling great. Kept it AF and was able to drive which after a lot of years anyone but me being trusted to be in a fit state to drive hasn’t stopped being quite nice lol.I know I am a bad person always have been but I am doing what I can to improve my family’s life and my own. I’d had enough some time ago but I didn’t put the effort / consistency in to achieve the rewards that tbt I wanted rather I made myself ill time and time over and got defensive about it clinging to whatever little !!!!!! thing I did still have. Life a lot better now, business better and shaping up to be a better year altogether financially as well as staff happy and me not doing anything I could for a little group of my staff to see me as one of them fml look back and I was a !!!!!! chequebook to a few of them. One did leave earlier this year, had someone less self destructive replace them and they are doing well, have great convs and not a mess on Monday. I reflect on my behaviour over the years it’s been !!!!!! awful, 6 months in now to rest of my life and I’m just getting started. I’ll be forever in debt to some of you on here, my wife, my in-laws, pros etc. don’t want to let anyone down and over past few days at the point I don’t want to let myself down.5

You’re not a bad person. I wish you’d start believing that. You’ve made mistakes and had an addiction that you are dealing with.September 2017 Debt = £25330
