15 weeks is great, not getting the buzz is a good sign, it is becoming the new normal.
Had to laugh at the 633 pages, you forgot the other 1k+ pages in the deleted threads.Had a bit of an odd discussion with someone I've always looked up to in business but has taken decision to wind down a bit despite only being c10yrs older than me. He said a lot of things similar to people on here, not all about material goals, need to assess why I want x/y/z etc./ life not about being the best in the business so long as things are right. Idk it was a strange conversation, can ruin yourself being overcommitted / find things outside of business, enjoy family more etc. I was honest about not always having had a clear head in the past, being in recovery and having a lot of business and personal financial commitments. His words 'you really think any of that's news to anyone' fml not been the first one to say something to that tune either.Let that sink in.
Also good you are getting real world people back into your life.
Forgot to reply to a previous question, our trip was just UK, but looking for international now, waiting for the next update before committing, probably Spain or Greece based first.
It was quite interesting to get out of our little world and see what's going on elsewhere in the UK rather than just on the news.
People have embraced freedom day, mask use well down and places busy especially touristy ones.
Everywhere has staff issues, a combination of hard to find and staff isolating.
In the mean time have another UK land break booked and going to have a day or two in London visiting people.

I know what you mean about regret. I'll be in my late 30s before I get out of rental- I've spent nearly 50k mostly on interest and that would have paid off 1/4 of the mortgage of the house I'm currently in if I'd spent it on something sensible....... However, I'm still pleased I managed to turn it around. It's annoying that it took me so long but at least i've done it. And once I'm debt free then that will define how I live in the future which will open the doors to a house purchase, holidays and better stuff for me and my family.
Better now than not at all!Bottom line;
£49k paid off
Car HP paid off
Debt Free!
Saved Escape fund and moved out.
Current focus; saving Emergency fund4 -
No money spent today. Calling that 15 weeks absolutely whacked after a long day. Going to bed early put my audio book on, chamomile tea in bed and hopefully a better night’s sleep than the last 2. Friday tomorrow, having a quiet one in the office few things I’ve got planned to get done and looking to pick son up enjoy some of the last of the lighter nights - autumn seems to be drawing closer all the time.
@getmore4less / @theoretica discussed the whole chasing highs thing with the pros today. Related to what I wrote on here this morning. Not getting a massive buzz from it but I def don’t want to be going back to day1 all for a hit and I do smile when I write my days now being in the hundreds rather than the tens. I know I should’ve not got myself into the mess I did with it but I’m pleased to not be doing it anymore.
@getmore4less sounds good could you get off the boat?
I was thinking about whether we’ll do usual London weekend near to Christmas - probably not, would just be tempting to spend and bit too busy for me now maybe idk I’ve been enjoying the spa weekends just nicely peaceful. Centre Parcs was good too. Didn’t used to enjoy stuff like that at all, definitely start thinking something wrong with my head when I enjoy things that I didn’t used to.
@Kakiste I can’t imagine that tbh makes me feel a bit first world problems ha. I’ve confidence you’ll get there.3 -

Congrats Alt. 15 weeks is huge. It also sounds like your wife is turning with you now so that will hopefully make things easier for you both. Remember the food in the road you had, she’ll likely have them too.Have a lovely weekend.September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x1 -
Day 106 today. Well done.

I would much rather do a spa weekend or Centre parks although we are booked to stay in London for a few days beginning of November to take my mum to a classical concert at The Royal Albert Hall as she has never been there and at 86 I thought it was about time. I hope it is not too busy then.
Seeking peace and calm rather than the previously dopamine driven urges you had to spend/drive fast cars or go out on benders is a massive change. Well done.

Day 106 thanks all. @mark55man haha fml I can remember those tiny little cars and the 205 which they made before, made me smile anyway would be very happy to get the Saab 9000 now that’s something I def didn’t think I’d be saying lol.
Going to take the @RelievedSheff approach to Friday; finish work about 5/6pm h/m pizza, film and a few beers quite looking forward to it.
@ThatKiss bit of both I think
@enthusiasticsaver thanks. My Mrs would love that; she likes classical music / opera / musicals / theatre etc. Bet you never thought you’d have something in common with her haha.4
