You’ve already had the lightbulb moment like you said, it’s just the hard slog of getting your brain to keep moving with it and not have the devil on your shoulder talking to you. You’re doing amazing. Plus, £200 for a space, brilliant way to earn cash!September 2017 Debt = £25330

You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x1 -
Just take care that your ex-mate doesn’t use the parking space as another reason to try to talk to you / drag you down.6

Exactly this, it would be much better if you never spoke to him again, I get the feeling £200 a month is cheap for him if it means he can weasel his way back into your life again.stymied said:Just take care that your ex-mate doesn’t use the parking space as another reason to try to talk to you / drag you down.Downshifted

Day 92 through making the first quarter. Started to work through some planned spends with my wife times have changed ha. I haven't !!!!!! up having my company card back, don't think I will tbh. Discussed with wife potential of having my personal card back in the new year. Currently have to plan any supermarket shops (bulk is delivered tbf but the odd little bit), fuelling the cars etc - wife has to be around to do it. Have stopped finding it easy to laugh off the wife 'treating me' when out for lunch/ dinner generally, there was a novelty but still strange and tbh feel very !!!!!! judged. Like the world thinks I'm some kind of !!!!!! kept man; it shouldn't be embarrassing really as no one else's business ultimately and I know 21st century shouldn't matter even if that was the case. Know I'm being 100% !!!!!! fragile about it tbf.
@getmore4less thanks mate means a lot to hear there are people who think I can stay on the right path. Hoping to get a few bbq days in over the next week or so - weather meant to be improving.
I'm not quite ready to start thinking in weeks. At some point I'd like to think I will, you made me smile re kids and their little milestones. My boy isn't out of that phase yet, he can't !!!!!! wait to get to the next milestone said today he can't wait until he can come out to work with me mon-wed and go to school thurs-fri. !!!!!! hilarious.
Days returning a bit more to precovid days for you?
@Willowtree222 that's 100% mate, some days are better than others ups and downs.
Plus the vat lol. Do alright out of my comm unit always have.
@stymied thanks, you're right tbh he bothers me with something at least a couple of times a week not really business related, trying to get me to go out. I know I go anywhere with him I put these last 92 days in jeopardy it would be nothing short of absolute idiocy. He tried winding me up today the whole I've always been desperate for money and driven by greed etc I know that, none of it is untrue but first time in my life I didn't feel really !!!!!! ashamed of where I've come from we haven't all been gifted 8 figure portfolios he's always made me feel like !!!!!! for having to build my own business up from nothing, I've always been the 'poor' one amongst the old group. I'm just !!!!!! done with that. Have better conversations with his parents than him, always have. They aren't exactly self made but they did sacrifice to scale up. Tbh I just thought if he wants to park his car on my premises he can and he can pay for it and if he wants to take it elsewhere that's up to him, I don't really care.4 -
You’ve seen him for what he is really and that’s just someone who takes great pleasure in trying to put others down. You are best staying away if he’ll jeopardise your days. Is there a way he can park without you having to deal with him?Your ‘true’ friends will be right now encouraging you to keep going and get through every day and tick it off.Have a lovely weekend.September 2017 Debt = £25330

You should be really proud of the fact you built up a successful business from nothing. He was gifted his so hasn’t put the graft in that you have. He’s jealous of you, stands out a mile. I bet he’s jealous of your success with the 93 days clean too, another thing he can’t do.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Day 93.
Be careful with your "friend" Alt. He is only trying to undo all of your hard work. Is there a way he can rent the parking space without you having to deal with him?
£200 per month on the other hand is a big chunk to pay off your credit cards.4 -

You’re a great employer and a caring landlord & are now building a solid family unit. Your mate has done none of these things.
Day 93 is fabulous achievement- you should be feeling so proud of how far you’ve come - we’re all routing for you.2 -
Your 'mate' makes me think of a viper or other innately dangerous animal. You must never lose sight of the fact that they are dangerous to handle them safety and incidents follow from overconfidence or getting casual about things.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

I would also advise caution against the "mate". The very fact he is trying to wind you up is because he thinks he can manipulate you into going back to your old ways to make him feel better about himself. This man has had everything handed to him on a platter but still needs drugs to get him through the day. I would either caution avoidance (I thought you had blocked him?) or at the very least minimising contact with him.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
