    Day 77 and 11 weeks, definitely pleased with that but probably the only thing I'm pleased with me about today lol. Should have come on here rather than heading straight to the office early this morning haha I've instead managed to upset my Mrs and cause my FIL to turn up unannounced. Laugh of the !!!!!! day from my FIL though asking me 'how much more money do I need' fml clearly more than I earn lol. He knows I owe money after all the !!!!!! last year. I completely !!!!!! lost it with him but only saying what you are on here really life too short to not do anything but work see that looking at time being 11pm when I started at 6.45am and switched it off just before writing this. Grabbed a Maccys for dinner and came home to my Mrs and son fast asleep.

    Good news £0 spent - I checked my wife hadn't gone !!!!!! mad with the spending lol.

    @Legs21 you may well have a point re using work. Has been discussed with pros tbh part of the addictive stuff. It is addictive tbh I !!!!!! wish I didn't need to sleep and could work through the night lol.

    @getmore4less new normal is 11 weeks clean mate lol idk how I've got here but I'm pleased with it can tell you that. Ikwyacf though I should spend more time with family, staff are all busy rn and I'm getting some fee earners done and slowly working through a very !!!!!! long list of all kinds of things - type of jobs that you don't get around to often. I'm getting around to them.

    iirc you have your own business too - do you really think family is most important thing? Idk lot of older guys say similar with voice of experience. Rn I can't strike the balance I'm back to dreading time off work was considering whether I could get away with just sending my wife and son to Greece but visiting my parents that would be a bit weird I thought. It's too long I was an idiot booking the 2 weeks got !!!!!! carried away with the idea seemed like a good one when we were locked down ha.

    @RelievedSheff I do have a brilliant team, they all work hard and I am very lucky to have them. Staff need that down time though - I can't expect them to sacrifice their work/ life balances. Couple of my staff are similar to you - weekend is the weekend etc. etc. It didn't cross my mind they possibly don't have a sneaky look at the emails etc. until our conv on your diary when you said you switch off off. I'm ok if they do that tbh they deserve to have that down time. It's different for me ultimately I see bigger rewards not just talking about what income comes into my personal bank but retained that turns into units.

    @maggiem thank you. He had a lovely day, highlight for him was seeing and waving back to a Morris Minor waving at our car lol. As you say kids are funny. Idk I just want something that probably only exists in my head - best in the business, brilliant family life with the memories of seeing my son grow like every other !!!!!! normal parent has rather than looking back and just missed. I could do with splitting myself in two and be with them and work at the same time ha.

    Def need to just keep plodding though 100%.

    @Sun_Addict haha don't wish my life away mate. You're possibly not as old as I thought then lol; had your kids young, I was pushing 34 when my boy arrived and I wasn't !!!!!! close to ready lol.

    @SanguineGina thank you.

    Yeah I still look back at photos from the day before Tier 3 lockdown in Notts from last year when I took my son and dog out it was !!!!!! amazing, one of the best days of my life stand by that lol.

    @Willowtree222 he loved it mate.

    @dawnybabes yeah she wants me to bring double home and spend 2 minutes a week working lol.

    Fantastic news on the 11 weeks, well done!

    How's the debt busting going? Had over 600 notifications so didn't have time to read it all back ha.

    Anything happen with the BMW? Have you swapped it for a smart car yet?

    Glad to note you're doing so well on the substance front regardless of everything else. That's a real challenge...
