    Day 63 today.

Hopefully it will be an easier day for you.

Well done for calling the pros when you needed them. Part of your recovery is realising when you need some extra support and reaching out for it rather then turning back to old habits.

    You are doing really well.

Looks like the card debts are back under £30k, will update totals later. Idk what to think - she's behaving today, understands I want to get to the point of clearing the card balances and getting the RR fully paid for and thinks that's a good plan usually does until the next trip into town or look on an app then she's married to a restrictive poor miser fml. Tbh every time she sells something lately I just feel !!!!!! indebted to her and tbt I'd rather owe the banks. Not in the greatest frame of mind rn, yesterday was a bit of a !!!!!! day and got a day of pretending I care about a kettle on wheels tomorrow but do have some things to look forward to not all miserable ha - just need to keep on with the slog.

@alt80 - You are really progressing through the weeks now of staying off the substances & you should give yourself the credit for not letting yourself fall off the wagon. Re negative thoughts, I wanted to say that everyone has sh*t days, everyone has past relationships &/or friendships that with hindsight they wish hadn't happened, everyone sometimes thinks back to past behaviours or melt-downs of which they are ashamed, everyone can recall in horribly glowing detail conversations/incidents where they said things that would have been 1000% better left unsaid, most people on here have made stupid financial decisions & spaffed good money that technically belonged to the bank.......I know I'd have to hold my hand up to all of these, plus probably a few more. Your higher income has enabled you to spend at a higher level, hence the debts, plus you have obviously moved in the sort of social circles where drugs are normalised. It's really only those two things which make you any different from most of the rest of us. I do think pretty much all of us could very easily come up with a mental list of stuff of which we'd rather erase all memory - I reckon I could probably fill a few sheets of A4, so don't knock yourself too hard. We all have a bad day now & again - I think 'A little bit off today' by 5-fingered death punch is a top song for that kind of day - "You gotta let it go" says the song, but there's a good understanding in it of those bad sort of days & I love the end.....tho' probably the radio doesn't play it cos of the F-word.
Anyway.....stick to the plan! It is the only way to go. You know that.

Sorry you've had a rough few days but the way you are rolling with the punches now is impressive.

With a nice new milk float tomorrow, wife back on the straight(ish|) and narrow(ish) and family weekend I hope the next few are better.

    Keep going @alt80

Day 63, made it through. Worked late this evening just logged off. Work is all my son thinks I do, not far off there tbf lol. He made me laugh earlier though when we were eating dinner he said he wants to be 90% fun like mummy when he’s older not 100% work like me haha. Idk how people can do 9-5 and just step away I’m dreading tomorrow / weekend already, my Mrs wants me off off.

Spoke too soon re wife’s sale most likely. She’s had no payment, don’t receive it tomorrow probably a complete waste of time.

@foxgloves thanks I’ve struggled with regret for a long time working through it and the rest with the pros. Keep on putting one foot in front of the other and not giving in to temptations. I’d be lying if I said I got through today without cravings for the stuff but I didn’t let it stop me getting through.

@warby68 thank you. Just working with the techniques I’ve been given; trying to get some value from it ha. Yeah will have to do family trip out in the milk float tomorrow, this will probably give you a laugh at my expense; the worst thing is the EQC is 0.1s quicker to 60 than my Range Rover.

Well done on getting through day 63. You seem to be having a run of bad days at the moment and I’m wondering if it’s because your work/life balance is out of sync because of holidays and COVID isolation with staff.

I reckon you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the EQC.

Day 64, no excuses today haha but looks like we will be spending a bit of money. Wife’s sale has been paid for though, money came through this morning so that’s an unexpected £3.25k. Wife wants to go out for dinner and probably have lunch out too, actually well within budget for that as we don’t do it so often but fml that’s the diet out the window unless the milk float is out of range lol I’ve told her I’m not firing the Range Rover up ha. Mind only 40 mins to 80% apparently. Have to laugh lol.

@Legs21 yeah I can’t work like I used to, have become lazy. Not exactly something I’m happy about tbh.
