    on the growing stuff,

I am rubbish because I won't put the time in at the right time,

Then because we go away  can come back to stuff died because it did not get watered.

if you have a warm sunny wall tomatoes will grow in pots or bags, just need water and feed every now and then
beans seem to do well for us but a bit of work.

we don't have a lot of space I did 3 beds 3mx1m  and have a small greenhouse

I try to do tomatoes and cucumber in the greenhouse(still needs cleaning out from last year) have auto water for that.

The fast stuff as mentioned can be good, salad crops are almost like weeds,  for some reason one of the easiest radish don't like our veg plots.

Did chillies in the greenhouse one year from a plant on sale in Waitrose got so many still have some dried.

You can even try the no dig approach find a spot make a bit of a raised bed with anything then layers of cardboard to suppress anything that might grow.

Few bags of compost and ready to go.

Beans might be an option they work best if you build structure could be fun with the son to do a build grow and eat project.

Might also be a TV option for low attention needs in the evening,
Gardeners World or look on catch up or fire up youtube on the TV packed with great growing ideas.

@getmore4less I can cope with putting some pea seeds(?) in a pot or something but fml greenhouses/ beds etc don't think I can cope with that mate might get the wife on it idk. Will have a look at the TV prog can deal with that ha.

A relaxed evening after a full day is not a waste. Its natural. We need downtime to both sleep better and keep the uptime effective.

Being normal is still a bit new to you lol. You'll get there. You're already half there with feel a bit rough so early night without all the fighting it. If you're going to do something a bit mentally taxing make it early evening. Don't do the forcing yourself at 10.30pm instead of going to bed.

@warby68 ha being normal def a novelty to me fml. I do find the 'downtime' a complete waste tbh reality not any worse than getting off my face on stimulants and being 'productive' into the early hours, better in the long run really I know but 100% I would if I could right now never learn lol. Not going to though def better ways to live life.

Don't feel guilty about your mate. 2 reasons. 1 you are not ready to help others yet. It is too early in your recovery and 2 until he wants to change nothing will move him away from his present life.

You are sounding very positive even if you don't feel well. If you are tired go to bed. The time doesn't matter.

@ladyholly I’m really trying to keep with the programme do the exercises etc. Reframe my way of thinking really I suppose. The treatment is a lot more intense not many hours for work but it’s needed 100%.

Not saying you’re wrong about my mate but doesn’t change the fact I don’t feel great about blocking him.

Probably will be in bed stupidly early almost fell to sleep on the sofa once already lol.

Putting yourself into the exercises and all the thinking you have been doing are the sort of things that do make people tired.

You are working hard at your exercises etc so getting very tired is natural. Brain work is just as tiring as physical especially when it is tough. Keep it up and it will be worth it.
