Thanks all find the tiredness very triggering I know it is and know what to do. Wife put me in the bath for 30 mins tonight with her !!!!!! expensive bath milk lol. Off to bed in 15 mins.

@getmore4less just checked out thread moaning about the weather ha should go there rather than wingeing to wife/ staff lol. Made me !!!!!! paranoid about my lawn though idk what I’m turning into mate.

@theoretica / @ladyholly hopefully one day will believe it’s ok to be tired enjoy relaxing a bit more and not just start manically craving the stuff to thinking about trying to get Ritalin fml more of the same there.

Well I’m up early after another rubbish night’s sleep. 😆

Trying to work out what we’re doing this weekend around my recovery stuff. No plans to go anywhere until 8th May unless it’s outdoors. Weather looks rubbish so in-laws don’t want us turning up either, probably going to be a walk and film. Get my son back on the photojournal he liked that.

Going to spend a bit of time costing the kids days out don’t think many require that much in the way of forward planning - tickets etc. Actually really looking forward to this thanks. Know I would have dismissed doing this stuff a few months/ weeks back and tbh always seen this type of stuff as a ‘waste of time’ when I could be going into town instead fml same old patterns more to life than work, shopping and doing stimulants. My son is only going to be young once and I’ve missed enough.
Good morning. I think that this post is a great example of just how far you have come.

Not sure what we are doing this weekend. The other half is having his first covid vaccination on Saturday morning so I guess a lot will depend on how he feels after having that.

It can be just simple pleasures with children, a decent drive with chattering, car games, spotting things then somewhere to burn some energy off and a quick food treat (taken or bought). Don't forget to introduce son to his own money soon - allow him to start making either or choices. We're talking fivers here by the way, pocket money spends not you or your wife style spends. Other choice is save up for a bigger spend another time.

It does the job remarkably well.

Not much else to say - you might not have slept well but you have rested. That does help with the following day (personal experience). You've summed up the rest with the 'more to life' comment. That's it exactly for you now - not just doing it because you've no cash but because you're seeing life differently.

Wife spends do show her problems up - she never let those items go from weeks ago and went straight into 'punishment' mode. However return of the biggest was good and deducting her spend from the allowances possibly even better. She is supporting and looking after you too.

It all sounds good at the moment even if it feels slow and painful to you. Its more and more about people and engagement rather than things and avoidance.

    Have a good day @alt80

Weird one here got out of the house for an hour Morrisons(beer) and a nip into Waitrose for bargains,  both really quiet which we like.

Finished the spare burgers off for lunch so not hungry had caesar salad (bag from waitrose 35p)  with 1/2 bag of prawns fanied chicken but we did not have any.

Did not feel tired till 10:30 so straight to bed, woke up 6:30 must have got up for a pee but don't remember,  first time in weeks gone right through.

On the trips out worth a quick check for costs  for some the fuel in the truck will be the biggest.
Also checking if you need to book as covid is still affecting places, that's  going to drop away later in the year.
The idea is to get a feel for what a day or two out might look like so you can slip them in,  "look it s going to be a nice weekend why don't we...... ".

Also don't for get to add a few for yourselves

Bewdley I am suggesting as a base, the steam railway goes to Bridgenorth where you can have walk round and try the hill railway,  plenty of places for a lunch

Also a few other places around to go to to mix it up with an overnight or two, on the river so plenty of very long walk options.

very popular is the safari park son might love that(on covid regiment so probably best to wait)

A nice B&B right on the river is the Mug House(looks like max 2 and prices have gone up just checked for June)
a great fish and chip shop not far.
F&C of an sunny evening over looking the river what's not to like

There is a much fancier B&B Kateshill that you would love Georgian they were selling, just checked  still for sale(£1.7m) so they may still be doing B&B site says available from May. we have used the place fantastic hosts.

We prefer to be be closer to the centre so use the Mug house or the George(wetherspoons basic) work for us.

Good indians and a couple of fancier places for dinners in the town.

Hope you had a good night's sleep.

The figures can wait. Going over and over them won't change them.

if you notice by planning and being aware you are now on top of the day to spending  no longer needs constant monitoring.
