Bit weird that falling off the wagon has made you look at the 'sensible' cars
I liked driving a Tesla for the novelty at the time - bit like a fast golf cart lol. One of the rugby parents (an eco warrior but on the techy money making side) had one when they were quite new here. He'd just ordered it online on a whim like you do ! He let me have a drive (very trusting) while the team were playing.3 -
You really are worth it, my DH was a high earner, he died 10 weeks ago, I’m comfortable for life because of our decisions / planning any years ago. My son and I would swop every bloody penny for him to be here.Sealed pot challenge 822

@warby68 idk bored this evening and I start looking at AMs won’t be good, I’ll start trying to work the figures again.
The Teslas are fast I’ve not driven one but have been driven in one and I’ve got a particular hatred for them always have they’re ugly, bad interior too. Not a car co imo more a tech/ battery co iyswim. Always owned by that ‘type’ too so I’ve found.1 -
My dad died at 63 which is just a few years older than I am now a very wealthy man and left my mum set up for life but we would all much rather he had been alive for the extra 20 or so years he should have had. Every family milestone, every wedding, grandchildrens' graduations, every new baby we still say we wish he had been here to see it all. You are worth so much more than a meal ticket. At least you know your business is safe so you can focus on getting better.
I think you cannot afford not to give your recovery every chance you can whether that is residential or whatever is recommended. I would not make any decisions now though as you are probably still on a downer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I'm sure plenty of 'types' have them now, that was a few years back. I wouldn't say no - fast and quite liked the cocooned feeling. Music was good in it too. Sucker for the doors as well.
I do want an electric car but am hanging on for it all to be even more well established.
I hate fuelling up, always have. Quite like the idea of plugging in at home.0 -
I like the idea of electric cars but they are so quiet you have no warning there may be a car round the corners on the narrow country lanes. I could not help thinking when I was out on my bike this week that being able to hear the car engines was at least a clue that there was a car round the corner. No chance of that with an electric one.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I still miss him enormously and feel for all he missed out on, especially grandsons. I shed tears just last week when son number one had another big achievement. I am my dad's daughter as well.
You have a place @alt80 and let's face it even if the only person you mattered to was your son that's enough anyway.
Anyway get off the devices and put something easy on TV or something. Give that fried brain a rest and start again tomorrow.2 -

We are not considering changing our cars for a few years but may consider hybrids as a stepping stone to full electric.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Your wife suffers from low self esteem and lacks self confidence, you’ve made that clear in many posts. Therapy would help her to deal with these issues and she wouldn’t feel the need to fill the hole in her life with expensive ‘things’. You both worry too much about what other people think of you rather than focussing on what you think of each other.Good that you are now looking at the possibility of a sensible family car.MFW 2022 #71 £4400/£44001
