I hope you get sorted today and back in a good frame of mind after speaking to your counsellor. I really think your demons are so bad you may need the next stage of intervention. If it was your "mate" who gave you the stuff he should be ashamed of himself considering how hard you have been trying to keep off it. It is like anything though, addicts like other addicts so if you are serious about this you have to keep away from him.

I hope you can use today to rest and recuperate and hopefully have a conversation with your wife. Get rid of the alcohol too. At least you didn't go on a spending spree. I hope today is better.

I agree your ‘friend’ is on the bottom and it’s easy to drag you down with him.  He’s nothing to loose and lonely - he doesn’t care about your family, wife, job he just wants company down there.

Quiet day called the hotline on one under the facility. 28 day timetable of targeted therapy ha. Couldn’t face leaving home, I don’t like being away and already lost one week working can’t face losing four more.

Spent no money and had bit of time to think when not asleep lol. Always looking for some miracle not going to come though. I don’t work on the therapy myself it’s not going to work. Get to the point of cba thinking I can pay the money and they’ll do the job. That doesn’t work.

Fwiw I didn’t invite anyone to my house either time and I’ve blocked him. Maybe for good idk.

I hear those saying addiction is not just the preserve of the dispossessed. Yeah I’m addicted to all sorts of stuff looking for some miracle cure.

Staff smashed this week, looked back over week on week figures. They don’t even need me. Sort the personal finances out and wife and son don’t need me either. No one needs me I’m 100% surplus to requirements when I’ve got the debts sorted.

In a decently run place the boss is the last missed. That's a good sign.
Remember the downer will be talking very loudly at the moment.
Very good to hear you're getting additional help and even have resi on the table even if its currently a no.
And no spending has to be a real positive. You haven't 100% reverted to type.
Get rest, good food and one day at a time again.

Doing well for 1 week while you’re away is completely different to being able to keep the company running and growing in the longer term. You are needed there.
Son also 100% needs you - remember how well he did at school when you spent time and worked with him.
This downer is still the cocaine talking, it’s not the real you.
I don’t know what to say about the intensive rehab. Maybe talk it over with FIL? I know that sounds strange but it feels like he may be the only person you can talk it over with.

I’m not sure why you’re seeing your employees being able to run your business without you as a negative thing. That just shows you have a damn good team in place. It also shows that you can take time out of the business to concentrate on recovery for yourself. It’s only 28 days! Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, put your big boy pants on and just do it. If you’re not going to do it for you then do it for your wife and son. You can do this and the sooner you start the sooner it will be over. We’re all here for you...

Problems are very rarely solved by miracles only hard work. It doent matter what you want you have to work at it. hopefully you are beiginning to see that. If your mate calls again dont let him in to your hme you dont need hi and the negatives he provides.
You are definitely not surplus to requirements. You have a son that needs his father and your staff have done well this week without your input but no business runs forever without the boss who is the ultimate decision maker. All this week proves is that you have a good business with good staff who know what they are doing in the short term.
You can get clean and sort your life out but you have to stop believing in miracles and do what you need to do to get there. You are on the down at the moment and that is tough but with work and persitence you can get there. Just dont rely on miracles.
