Hope you are feeling a little better on day 2 @alt80 and can put some additional measures in place to help yourself stay clean. People do slip up on their road to recovery so hopefully this will help remind you it wasn't worth it. Good luck.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.1

We plan to keep it running for as long as possible and then replace eventually with another E class.0 -
Good Morning Alt.
Fresh day, fresh start.
Have you got some family days lined up for the long weekend?0 -
Hi Alt,
I've not been on for a while, but popped by yesterday to see how you are. I sent you a message.
Just checking in. Today's a new day. I hope you're feeling better. It's so hard to see clearly on a come down. It's OK though, we get that. We're all here for you. Xx

Hope you're feeling better today -
I think I could always tell you were finding it all hard -it's not coming automatically the 'family time' 'spending' 'wife issues' - that doesn't make you a failure though. You obviously have the personality to smash it all the time - which has put you in the top bracket of earners but is also difficult as nothing is never enough.
I empathise as have the same self loathing (not for material things) and I've no advice as not sorted myself with it really. Have a good weekend and try not to beat yourself up (I think you're doing great and everyone hear is rooting for you.)HOME

@alt80 please try and find the humility to get to an NA or CA meeting. You'll find people there just like you: addiction isn't the exclusive preserve of the dispossessed that you seem to think it is.
Your cycle of remorse, minimising, resentment and acting out is absolutely classic. You are not alone - this is a common problem and there is a solution.
Sooner or later you'll realise that you can't strategise or think your way out of this. The only question is how much will you have to lose before you finally give in and accept help?2 -
Hope you are ok. hope you have a good easter. Have the sunflowers come through yet? take care x0
