Thinking about it, some comedy or other live entertainment might be something you could do together when things open up.
I love live comedy but only if I can sit in an invisible seat (and never get up to go to the loo). Got a few IOU tickets/credits from last year.2 -
Thanks all @ladyholly that's what I gathered.
@getmore4less FML you're taking me back a bit mate, remember that all blowing up. It still goes on unfortunately. I've been to places recently to do a secured lending val and the poor !!!!!! have paid for the course (thousands), the unit, refurb & PM costs etc trying to refinance completely !!!!!! deluded about its value or just desperate. There's other dodgy practices - unregulated lending from frankly naïve private investors / dodgy money often from the UAE etc. etc. I !!!!!! hate it winds me off the clock so sorry for the rant ha.
Sat in my office right now reading your post re family evenings nodding along thinking yeah that's what I need to do haha. Wife was !!!!!! crying through the counselling I'm 'never there' etc idk. Have tried the family evenings did actually enjoy it just kept feeling whacked and falling to sleep didn't like that so back to the old habits. Possibly need to have a word with myself ha.
The TV just seems like another thing to plan out. Weekends too not planned anything for this weekend and should do.1 -
@warby68 more money to spend lol. Tbf could come out of entertainment. Wife is into the theatre/ comedy/ live music/ opera etc. Usually send her off with a mate or two and send son to in-laws during normal times. Just leads to nights on the chang so would rather avoid lol.1

Absolutely whacked again tonight I really don't know what's wrong with me. Never been as knackered in my life as I have been this year. Find getting out of the office and into sitting room makes me sleepy idk why one of the reasons I've been avoiding it.
Trying to sort the Greece flights out and now can't find the cheapest one FML. Should have got wife to put a link to the site on the spreadsheet tbf. Told her and I get 'don't know why I didn't think of that' ha likewise.
At the risk of sounding like one of the deluded parents my son has had some amazing feedback from his teacher at school after doing really well in his maths. His classmates are mainly proper swotty sorts with the Asian helicopter parents, sorry realise that's a stereotype but a true one from my experience with son. Usually he's got no chance against them but 100% nailed it today. Told wife he's getting a bit of a treat tomorrow, will take him through the Maccys drive thru for one of those ice creams they do lol.
@getmore4less thanks mate Saturday rugby sorted son is loving the rugby wants to join a team now lol. Next year think they start at school so wife says.
@annabanana82 thanks will take a look.0 -
try skyscanner.net for your flights , its searches all of the airlines and you can get a calender view to work out the cheapest days to fly etc.
I think your wife would benefit from watching at least one episode of rich house poor house too

I watched rich house poor house for the first time this week on catch up and it was actually quite enlightening. The rich house was a woman who ran her own business but had worked in the city previously. They had about £1300 spare income each week to spend on food, entertainment etc but had no time to spend with their family. The poor family had about £150 each week for food and everything else but had lots of family time and worked, the wife part time and the husband 50 hours a week. It could help your wife to see how lucky she is but equally she may be mad she doesn't have a fortune each week to spend on clothes. It seems the criteria for meeting the rich house or the poor house is the disposable income you have.
Well done to your son for doing well at his maths.
