@RelievedSheff knowing my luck I’d be paired up with a tenant. Fml. Can see it now they’d have a look at my budget and get a good laugh.3

alt80 said:Sorry for the rant but I have a massive bugbear with a lot of these property ‘courses’ and a fair few people in the property world who are little other than spivs. I’m possibly the idiot in all this idk and don’t fail to see the irony in me taking the moral high ground haha but being in the business I am it really pisses me off and 100% gives my industry a bad reputation.1

@warby68 it was someone who went on the show. May have skewed my view as not sure who else is on the show or what they do just aware of a person with quite a few hallmarks of the type I’m talking about iyswim. Probably should just get off my soapbox now though ha.
@JGB1955 you’re telling me I should tell her to watch it then?1 -
For house programmes I quite liked the great house give away on C4, think it gave a more realistic view of flipping houses and that it's not necessarily easy money.Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
Make £2024 in 2024...0 -
@annabanana82 Always liked grand designs too but not really enough detail IMO. Anyway Wife would go mad if all I scheduled for viewing over the whole evening was property haha.0

It's not a property program as such. Basically a well off family and a poorer family swap homes and budgets for a week. I think it would be good for your wife to see how others live but I can't see her agreeing anyway.
I know you are struggling but don't give up you are doing so well. It will all be worth it in the end and I think you deserve a treat of some sort. I know it's hard during lockdown but have a think. Whether it's a special meal or something you want it will give you a reward for doing so well.2 -
I don't think your wife understands you are the rich house.1

The property development course scams were called out when the dodgy practices of Inside Track and Instant Access Properties were uncovered
Wonder if people just don't research.1 -
I am not suggesting you watch all the TV on the lists just find some to share with the wife 1hr an evening would be a start.
Could you allocate research and reading tasks to be done while sitting with the wife watching her stuff.
Mix with her progs and joint progs.
I think she just needs to have you there and not hiding away in you man den.
Early evening with son and eating properly.
Don't run to the office, if there is something that needs doing in the office limit the amount of time to one of her programs.
If you could be into the comedy I will have a think and see what's in your area.
Obviously nothing live yet.
We did some outdoor gigs in a carpark last year, top names some weekend afternoons
(Too far from you and generally not child friendly)
