There are some plus sides this Tier 4. Nothing to spend money on. It should be a cheap month for us all.

You are right though we will almost certainly have another full lock down in the not too distant future. The current restrictions are just not harsh enough to stop the spread at the moment, especially when some muppets decide to make up their own rules!!!

Decent night’s sleep, buzzing for day ahead lol. Even the wife is motivated - going through a few bits for sale reviewing prices etc and seeing if she’s got anything else to put up for sale. I’ve not got too much workload wise to do today. 100 finish by 6 and put the emails to sleep. Better habits around this year, move away from the self destructive stuff.

@RelievedSheff Yeah tbh I’m half dreading coming out of lockdown fully - far too much to be tempted by haha. Definitely going for the cheap Jan hardly recognise myself not even having a drink this month lol.

BoJo threatened it this morning according to my phone. Starmer kicking off. It’s like being back at school - carry on being a !!!!!! and I’ll give you a detention FML. Can’t believe it’s been getting on for a year, worse than ever. Had a meeting with staff at the start of March, remember saying no chance will Boris shut the economy, wash hands singing happy birthday twice and we’ll have it sorted in 2 months. 😆 End of month no work and drowning in government paperwork FML. 100 this is probably what running a business in a communist state would be. Month after that no work and nothing to do apart from get fit. Genuinely think fittest I’ve been in my life over lockdown 1. Concerns me where it stops tbh - before long we’ll have a cultural shift, lot of businesses completely !!!!!!, lot of people properly out of work etc.

I don't think anyone knows where this will end, if it ever will end. I think to a degree we are just going to have to learn to live with Covid for the foreseeable. Even if we eradicate it in this country, once foreign travel picks up a gear again it will be reintroduced from somewhere else.

The vaccine does give some hope, but I'm not sure if at this stage it is a false hope as we still have a very long way to go before things get back to any sort of "normal"

Because it will be difficult to spend good time practice looking at needs and wants and getting into the habits of thinking about priorities.

Cold turkey spend nothing is just the other extreme from just spending.

There is no point denying yourself things you really need or even want if there is good justification and value.

Brilliant day and ended with good news from BoJo - business not affected 100 winning today still buzzing amazing day tbh. Made myself a chamomile tea to calm myself down a bit before bed, have one of those herbal calming things too ha keep working on the sleep, feel !!!!!! without it.  No spend day so still £310 variable.

    @RelievedSheff you're 100% right unfortunately.

@getmore4less thanks mate. 100% you're right. I know people think I'm an idiot for still wanting stuff, have learned to start exercising a bit of restraint I hope at least and actually thinking about priorities/ wants/ needs etc. At the moment definitely abstaining from spending but also nothing to buy, strange times. I'll be honest I'm not going to start earning for earning's sake though I do get a buzz off the coin rolling in. Also hear some of the posters re where do extra units start becoming more about feeding the habit rather than about much else. Haven't got an answer for it right now tbh.

Another decent nights sleep and reasonable bedtime! Don’t know what’s happening to me lol.

    No planned spending today.

Started reading Atomic Habits though only made it through about 5 pages before I was falling asleep- not the book just decided for once not to fight the sleepiness. 😆

Glad sleep is better and the business is giving you your mojo back.
All the bigger picture stuff about what you're doing it all for, spending power versus investment, future versus present is just part of finding your balance. Unsurprisingly you're not sure what that is yet because you've just come out a phase with no balance whatsoever lol.
Looks like construction and property activities can continue - even in person viewings seem ok this time round. We're on construction side . First lockdown they made it very woolly about what was supposed to be happening.
My boys are gutted not to be going back to Uni - will be interested how the unis play this now on the finances front now a stay at home order has been given. We've paid for 44 weeks of accommodation for example which cannot be used for min 6 weeks. BTW any tips for finding a student rental house next year?

Good start to the return to work and sleep, as said the bigger picture will come in time.

Keep a balance for the rest of the week and try to keep plenty of the weekend free.
Remember any extra work to fill time gaps is to get ahead not play catch up.

Also keep on top of the progress with the wife dropping IG might need replacing with something productive.
