There is no guarantee either way. i phoned them up - they said it will attempt to do online checks, or you can upload stuff online and only if they need more info do you need to come into branch - a bit contradictory to the wording but i'll give it a go and see what happens...0

It seems pretty solid they want you to go in with proof from this link:I have just opened a Lloyds account and it was approved in seconds without proof of identity and Mrs billn did the same, the only accounts that required an ID check was RBS and this was done online.

yes, I have other switchable accounts. If I just apply online for another switch, are Lloyds likely to come back with "You already have a switch in progress"?soulsaver said:

No - you can switch in as many accounts as you like - but you'll only get one incentive payment... unless you land on 'Bank Error In Your Favour'...Eco_Miser said:

Well, I'd misunderstood the situation with the switch to Santander, I thought it was on hold while I sorted out the dormancy, but it was actually cancelled completely.I'm now switching one of my TSB accounts instead.Eco Miser
